Nice staff...but HUGE ROACHES!!!!

I will say the staff at the hotel was very nice and helpful; the rooms are showing their age but appeared to be clean except for a few minor details. And then, there was the massive flying cockroach that my spouse found in the bathroom early in the morning!! That is enough for me to not recommend this hotel...because where there's one...there's many many more. He didn't tell me until we were leaving because I would have never slept. We skipped the continental breakfast because I am NOT eating where there are blatant roaches.

Nice staff BUT HUGE ROACH in bathroonm!!!

So, all was well. They were nice enough to give us a 12pm checkout...room was okay showing it's age but looked clean enough..all seemed fine. UNTIL my spouse went in the bathroom in the early morning and had to battle a GIANT..FLYING Cockroach.

Outstanding Hotel

Great stay at the Wingate in Albany. Only complaint was that the bathroom faucet was too short so that when you wash your hands it was hard to get them under the stream of water.

Enjoyed the entire stay.

From the arrival to the checkout, everything was just perfect. The customer service was great. The neatness and cleanliness of the rooms and the entire hotel was the best I have seen. The breakfast was top of the line and I wouldn't classify it as continental because this hotel serves grits, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, danish, yogurt, fruits, juices, coffee, and anything else you may want. The whirlpool was soothing and relaxing. The pool was clean and the deck was relaxing as well. The fitness room was very befitting for everyone from a teenager to an adult. Everything was just perfect and I will be visiting this hotel again and very soon.

Excellent Hotel

This is an excellent hotel to stay in. Everything was great. The continental breakfast was superb,and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay there again when I go to visit my daughter while on vacation.
