Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 18Beautiful!
Hands down the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. Two blocks from the White House. Outstanding restaurants on the premises. Close to everything! Bring lots of cash, there's nothing cheap about this place. You get what you pay for.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 18Restaurant should be avoided
The hotel was beautiful and the service on the hotel side of the building was wonderful, but the service in the adjoining restaurant left much to be desired. They were rude and offensive to the point of being elitists. We had to ask for water refills three times (and at that price we shouldn't have to). We had dinner one night and did not wish to have breakfast there the next day, but had to because we had credit for it... the service did not get any better.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 18Almost Perfect
Grand and storied hotel. Fabulous lobby and lounge area along with great ball rooms. Very disappointing they no longer have fine dining on site. Best location in the city.

This hotel is so grand. The history behind it makes it even more appealing. The location could not have been better.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 18Great Hotel
Hotel was in the perfect location. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only disappointment we had was the parking. We didn't realize it was not complimentary for hotel guest and the $175.00 we had to pay at the end of the week was a shock.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 18pampered but pricey
We loved the hotel but it was pricey. Hard to resist room service and all the anemities they offer. Very convenient to all the atractions. Beds were amazing. I slept better than I have in years

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 18Wonderful Experience
My fiance and I had the most wonderful time in D.C. The location of the hotel was fabulous, but what really made our stay was the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the D.C. area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 18Outstanding Hotel and excellent staff
This is one of several times that I have stayed at the Willard, and each visit is exemplary, and this time was no exception. The hotel staff are courteous and attentive, the room was meticulous and clean. From check-in, through check-out, our experience was wonderful.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 18A little aged.
The Willard is a great place to meet in the lobby but the rooms are lacking. My room had a tiny port hole of a window and the sheets were so rough I got rug burn from them.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 18Handicapped Room and Dishsoap Stained Wine Glasses
The Willard is supposed to be one of the finest hotels in Washington, DC. I actually live in DC but my husband and I wanted a night "away" for Valentine's Day. I don't know if it's because we booked on hotels.com, but we were put in a handicapped room (we're not handicapped) which was the first room next to the spa. The hotel was clearly not sold out, so the placement seemed very strange and made us somewhat uncomfortable. We went for drinks at the bar in the hotel, and expected that at $14 a piece we would get what we paid for. The server was absent, so we had to walk to the bar for our check. The wine glass had a thick film of dishsoap on the outside of the glass, and my husband was given the wrong beer. We checked out first thing in the morning, not wanting to stick around for any more surprises. Overall, the treatment and details were FAR below what I would have expected from a hotel that was still very expensive when we booked on hotels.com, and prides itself on a reputation of being among DC's finest. Very disappointed.
