Thought there was a kitchenette

When I booked this, I thought I was getting a small condo unit with an efficiency kitchen, so i was surprised when it was just a hotel. they upgraded me to a nicer room which was great, but when it came time to sleep, the walls were paper thin. since i had to get up very very early, i asked to change rooms. they were very nice about it, but moving in the middle of the night was something that was a bit inconvenient. Since the hotel was very underbooked, I'm surprised they put me next to a bunch of full rooms. With the walls being so thin, I would think they would want to space the guests out a bit.

Ok room for the money...

A very nice hotel, that is in a really nice location. The thermostat did not work in the room, the refrigerator could not keep things cold, and the shower drain was clogged. Just not really what you would expect for Aspen, co. Also, you had to go to the silvertree to check in and out. Other than that, not too bad.

Great room for the money.

Given a room over the noisy laundry room. This didn't seem necessary since the hotel was very empty. Also, asked for a room with a view, but was denied. This seemed unfair when the hotel was practically empty.

Needs improvement

The good part: dogs were accepted with no issues (just follow the courtesy rules common to all pet-friendly hotels). The rest: This lodge is run by Silvertree resorts, but is not up to the standard they present for hotels bearing their own name. Bed was ok but sheets and blankets were rougher than normal. Floor creaked, mini-fridge didn't keep foods cool, and in fact heated the room--an issue in the daytime since there was no air conditioning. Noise from the courtyard came right in the window (even when closed), which means there was also little privacy for the guest when in the room. The TV said in-room movies and music were available, but the system did not work.

Needs updating but good value

Cheap and adequate accomodations in Snowmass. Can use the facilities of the Silvertree. MUCH cheaper in price. Good value.

Best Deal in Aspen/Snowmass

The Wildwood Lodge is the best best for those looking for an affordable trip to Aspen. It is extremely close to both Snowmass mountain, which arguably is the best of the Aspen/Snowmass mountains, as well as the bus to Aspen, which runs free until 4:45 and for $3 until 1:45. The stay was comfortable and with the decent free breakfast and access to the Silver Tree concierge and bus-boy services, it was worth every penny.
