Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 25Decent and clean
Had a reservation for 1 night. Room and bathroom were ok, a little worn but clean. Close to the subway and street of restaurant options.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 25Clean, Convenient, and a great price for London!
I stayed at Westbury Hotel for 3 nights recently and was very pleased with my experience there. The hotel is very convenient to Heathrow and to all the attractions of Central London. The rooms are very small but well kep and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of special requests when possible. I'd recommend this hotel if you're looking for a no-frills place in a great location at a terrific price for London.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 25Don't go by the picture!
We booked our stay based on previous reviews and the room we saw advertised online. We knew it was not "deluxe" but felt it would be fine for our needs. We were utterly dismayed when we saw our tiny cubicle with one small window. When we opened it for some air, someone in another room was smoking and blowing their smoke out the window and directly into our room. It was unbearable. The room was so small, we could hardly walk by the bed. Not at all as advertised.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 25Tiny room, HORRIBLE bed
The room we received was clean and looked like it was recently refurbished. The hotel has a nice breakfast and the location is pretty convenient. However, I will not go back to the Westbury hotel and I would not recommend it. I think we could have handled the fact that the room was unbelievably small if it weren't for the horrible bed which literaly had springs popping out of the mattress. It's really a disgrace to provide hotel guests with such a shoddy bed, even in a relatively cheap hotel. The upside was that we hated the room so much that we hardly spent any time in it and saw much more of London.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 25Small room but great hotel, location, and breakfast.
Very clean room and bathroom. Not sure about the bad review below, but I had a very nice stay at the Westbury. In fact, I didn't realize how well I had it until I visited some other european cities. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, toast, jellies and nutella, OJ, apple juice, coffee, cereal, etc. Free wifi in the lobby and breakfast room. Great location - 5 minute walk from Earl's Court tube (subway) station. Room was about 14 inches wider than the double bed, plus a hallway connecting it to the closet, bathroom, and main door. Relatively small room, but it worked for two just fine. Definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 7 of 25Good room for a great price
I didn't know what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but the room was very clean, if very small. The hotel staff is very nice, and provided a free pack of tylenol when needed. The breakfast is pretty simple, cereal and toast, but saves a lot of money compared to buying breakfast in the city. As others have noted, wireless is only accessible from the breakfast room, but this did not turn out to be a major problem.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 25Dirty hotel - old beds - pubic hairs on sheets
Let's start with the pubic hairs on my sheets. YES, they did not change the sheets on my bed from the previous guest. The room was less than 7' X 10' wide, including the bathroom. If you are taller than 5'9, your feet will hit the wall and you will have to sleep at an angle. The "free internet" is only if you are in the hotel lobby, because they did not have a router that could broadcast further (I was on the 3rd floor). The beds were so old that the springs were coming through the mattress padding in places (my back litterally hurt the following day). The free continental breakfast was cereal and frozen orange juice. It said it lasted from something like 7:00 am to 10:00 am, but when I went down at 9:00, the only thing out was the cereal and I had to ask for something to drink and they brought me a pint of orange juice from frozen concentrate. Yes, to say the least I was very disappointed and stayed the two nights I paid for and then checked out the following day and went to a more expensive hotel. If you can afford better, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. Oh, the bathroom was recently remodeled and seemed clean, but the shower drain was slow and you had to keep the water turned down or it would run out on the floor. I stayed in room 302.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 25Hard to find
Helpful staff, clean room and low cost. Friendly people; one gentlemen from the street even called the hotel for me to find the direction. The hotel is hard to find. It's about 5 minutes walk from the earl's court metro station. From the St. Pancras Internation station take the Picadelly line and get out at Earl's station. Cross the Earl's court avenue into Hogarth avenue at the end of hogarth avenue take a left the 2nd left is collinghan place, westbury hotel is on the left.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 25Good Hotel
Hotel is extremely small, with barely enough room for two people to stay in. If you are just there to sleep, no problem. However, if you plan on being there longer or throughout the day, the hotel can feel very cramped. Very clean and good service, and not to far from the metro line.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 25Pleasantly surprised
This was my second trip to Europe, first trip to London. Based on the experiences of my first trip, maybe my expectations were low. But we were quite pleased with this hotel. The room was nicely appointed and more upscale than we expected. It seems to cater mostly to business travelers. Very conveniently located near Victoria Station. The rate was much higher during the week than on the weekend. We were traveling on a limited budget, and we had to choose somewhere else for when we returned later in the week. So the weekend rate seemed quite a bargain. I'm not sure I would have been so pleased with the weekday rate!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 25Close to Earls Court Tube Station
Nice clean hotel. Tiny shower, very european amount of space in the hotel. Face it Americans are spoiled and want lots of space. For the price we paid and location of the hotel, I was very satisfied. Earls Court has lots of Amenities close by to this Hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 25Refurbished rooms very nice, but hotels skimps on details
Hotel is in an excellent location, within a 5 minute walk of the Earl's Court tube station. The hotel is obviously under refurbishment. Our room had been refurbished and was very nice, if a little small. The hotel was stingy with towels and soap. If you asked for more towels, they were provided, no problem. The free WiFi reception was fairly poor in our room; we had to go down to the small lobby for good reception. The included breakfast was OK. We had a problem with the toilet not doing a good job in the flushing department. It was never taken care of to our satisfaction, although they claim that the looked at it and it was working fine.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 25Improved over before, but still less than desirable
We stayed in the Westbury at the beginning and end of our European trip. After our first experience, we were not looking forward to returning but already had the hotel booked for our last night. This one night stay was an improvement over before but still left much to be desired. We had a "remodeled" room and the bathroom tile was already significantly cracked. The window sill came off in my hand. We had to pay a deposit for the remote control, had to ask for soap, the hair dryer did not work, and the cleanliness of the bathroom was definitely questionable. The hallways were sloped and had an odd smell. One positive is that there is a decent elevator to reach upper floors. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
