Trip Type: With Friends Review 16 of 134Newer hotel with AC
This hotel was a lifesaver with record heat encountered during our stay in Seattle. The A/C worked Great!. The room was spacious, however there was not enough light to work comfortably at night. The hotel is modern in appearance and function in the University District where many other properties are tired and in need of updating. Breakfast was hot and very convenient. Only the Access, from a one way street, and the tight underground garage posed slight issues which would otherwise have made it a 10.

Trip Type: Family Review 17 of 134Very nice hotel
I enjoyed the modern style. The nautical theme was quite pleasent. The hotel was much nicer than what I expected. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 20 of 134Very comfortable and convienent, great staff!
This is a very comfortable hotel in the University District. Lots of nice places to eat within walking distance. The neighboring University hotel has a pool that Watertown guests can use. They also have free shuttle service to many places downtown Seattle which was a very big plus. Also available are DVDs, and cheap snacks in the lobby. The free breakfast was pretty standard and good quality food. Free secure garaged underground parking was a huge plus as was the free WIFI / Cat5 connection in the rooms. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Seattle.

Trip Type: Family Review 23 of 134Pleasantly Surprised!
The hotel was old, but had been renovated and the appointments were all new. The room was spacious with a microwave, and refrigerator. The staff was very courteous. The breakfast selection was excellent! It was a little tricky to find, but was close to the university, and also to the downtown area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 26 of 134great hotel
We were 2 adults/2 teenagers in a room with 2 queen beds. I was thinking we'd be very crowded, but the layout of the room was comfortable and allowed all of us enough privacy and space to enjoy each other's company. Comfortable beds, great staff.

Trip Type: Family Review 27 of 134Comfortable rooms, convenient location
We often stay at the Watertown when visiting Seattle. As former Seattle residents, it's great to be back in the area and the proximity to restaurants, campus, freeway and transportation options, plus free parking, is terrific. They've reduced service a bit due to (I'm guessing) the economic downturn, and it's a bit disappointing to have breakfast served with disposable everything which rather cheapens the experience. At least breakfast is still free! They no longer have wine tasting and apps daily, only on weekend (including Thurs and Friday) nights. Our long standing minor complaint is that the window blinds roll down from the top, meaning that you cannot have the full length window facing the bathroom area open as you will be exposed to people looking up. I like natural light, so really wish the blinds would roll from the bottom. Overall, minor issue. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the larger "suites". Having a microwave and fridge is very convenient and becoming a rarity. Free wireless that works is another plus. And free parking! Really, the Watertown is an amazing deal for such comfortable and nice accommodations. Try the Portage Bay Cafe just down the street. Good stuff. There are tons of dining options within walking distance.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 29 of 134Nice and Simple
The rooms were nice and clean. Essentially, there is nothing extravagant about the Watertown. It is just a very nice hotel for those who need to stay around the U-District. Make sure the price is right for you because it can be a little on the pricey side for what it is.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 30 of 134Great location to UW
This is our third stay at the Watertown. Overall everything was fine except the coffee maker needed to be fixed and the computer cart we requested did not hook up to the internet. They have a nice breakfast.
