Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 8Perfectly Satisfactory
My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. It was clean and the service was very friendly and helpful. We thought that it was a very good value. It is in a great location for walking to the Eiffel Tower or Champs Elysees. The neighborhood is not too exciting, but it is not noisy. This hotel also provided free wireless internet, which we appreciated. Room was definitely smaller than anything I'm used to, but we were expecting that. Our experience with this hotel was great.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 8Good hotel for the price
Pros: - Very courteous staff, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. - Great location, only a few minutes to the Arc d'Triomphe and Eiffel Tower by foot and plenty of restaurants nearby. Cons: - Wireless internet access in the room was non-existent or unreliable at best. Required to use the wireless in the lobby for internet access. - Laundry service in the hotel is far too expensive for basic items.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 8Satisfactory but not Overwhelming
The Waldorf Trocadero is a small but fashionable building along a fairly quiet Rue de Lauriston. It is not as close to either the Victor Hugo or Boisserie metro stations as I would have liked but the walk is not outrageous. The staff was effecient and courteous and I was able to catch a late night lite snack ( tres cher) through room service when all around was closed. The closest Brasserie is about 100 yard away with a nice and reasonably priced ( for Paris) selection of hot and cold dishes. It was a bit isloated which can be good if you are seeking quiet but there isn't much night life or shopping in the area to speak of, thus a trip on the metro to the Champs Elysee is in order. It is three stops on the Metro away but can be walked in about 12 minutes. The room was very small, and cramped even by French standards but the bathroom had plenty of space, the walls were thick, there was a sturdy in room safe, and the bed was comfortable. They do however need an upgrade on the TV selections. There weren't many from which to choose.I didn't sample the breakfast buffet which was a bit overpriced but it looked ample and appetizing. In short, a stay here won't overwhelm you but I don't think you would be disappointed.
