Great room

We expected a city view room and were surprised to get a room facing the ocean. We were only on the 4th floor, so there was just a little bit of an ocean view. There were 2 very comfortable double beds. The room was right across from the elevators and next to the ice/vending room so we were expecting annoying noise - which we did NOT get. We were very happy with the room and the hotel in general. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Great value

This is a nice hotel. It's very clean, and well furnished, and the lobby, swimming, shopping,etc areas are nicely decorated. Valet parking was efficient & really the only way to go in Waikiki. (It's $5 per day more than parking yourself.) We were a bit crowded in a room with two double beds - two adults and two teenagers. Would probably opt for a suite next time. This is somewhat on the quieter side of Waikiki, but I'm not sure there is a quiet side. It's easy walking distance to all of the shopping and night life. We paid a lot less than the advertised rate at some of the other hotels and I think it was a good value for the money. Not top of the line, but better than average.

Small Rooms

Room overlooking garage and AC blower. Very small room. Not worth the money.

great room for the money

I was very glad that I got free upgrade from city view to ocean view. Also, its location was perfect for shopping , bus stop, and suttle bus,etc.

Nice, but not helpful

The hotel was nice, I think we paid a bit much for the size of the room. We did have the ocean and diamondhead view that we paid for. The bathroom was tiny and the room overall felt a bit cramped. Also, we requested a late check out by a half an hour and they wouldn't accomadate us. Kind of disappointing. However, the staff was great, from the server at the patio bar to the woman who delivered our room service to the valet, they were fabulous. Overall, don't pay for the extra view, it's not worth it.

Great stay

I stayed here for a week on business but the hotel was so great it made it feel like a vacation. My room had a spectacular view of the beach, city, and Diamond Head. Couldn't ask for a better view! The staff did such a great job on my room everyday that if felt like I was checking in for the first time everytime I returned. All toiletries were replaced daily and my blinds were pulled to keep the sun from heating up the room too much. Even though I could hear plenty of the buses ringing their bells when my balcony door was opened, the room was virtually silent when the doors were closed. I was concerned with the location at first thinking it was at the end of the strip (bad Vegas flashbacks) but everything is located within tolerable walking distance and it is a scenic walk. Also, there are plenty of shops and eating establishments located next to and in the hotel. A zoo is located one block away for the kids enjoyment. The hotel is very relaxing and indicative of the atmosphere you would expect to find in Hawaii. There are two pools and a jacuzzi located in the hotel and the beach is right across the street. Great stay.
