Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa

Great Location

The hotel is located within walking distance of a wide variety of things to do. It is near the beach, shopping and the zoo amongst others. I would consider this a "nice middle of the road" hotel, and the hospitality throughout the hotel made this a special experience.

ok, however a few cons

The hotel was ok, however we paid for a deluze room and it had nothing to make it a deluxe priced room. Comfort was just ok, and the ocean view that was sold to us as full ocean was not, it did not have a full view, it was blocked by another building of the same hotel. Also we thought the beach was part of the hotel, just keep in mind that it is not, you have to cross the street. Either be sure to take your own towels and shades or pay a hefty price to the people that rent these items on site (not part of the hotel) The location was great, easy to walk everywher ein Waikiki. Be sure to go on tours, the concierge was helpful!

needs improvement

the room was purchased as a deluxe diamondhead ocean view, we got to the room and were not satisfied with the view or size compared to the listing from your website. there was nothing deluxe about it.

Absolutely perfect

I recently stayed here with my wife and 2 children. We all loved the hotel, the pools, and the location. The beds were about the more comfortable I have ever slept in. The bus stop for "The BUS" was adjacent to the hotel (you can ride pretty much anywhere on the island for $2 on The BUS. We did the scuba diving tour with the hotel dive shop - would highly recommend it. My 18 year-old daughter and I have incredible memories of diving and swimming with turtles in the ocean. If/when we return to Waikiki, we'll definitely stay here again.

Consider the Cost

I selected the most expensive room with an ocean view. It is not worth the price. The room furnisings were standard and the room sze was normal. Not worth the extra price for a view. My coffee pot was missing for both night stays even when I left a note to provide one.

Outstanding Hotel

Our stay was very pleasant. It's a very beautiful hotel and conveintly located in downtown Waikiki. Just a short walk to the beach, shopping and lovely places to eat. No need for a car.
