    We expected a city view room and were surprised to get a room facing the ocean. We were only on the 4th floor, so there was just a little bit of an ocean view. There were 2 very comfortable double beds. The room was right across from the elevators and next to the ice/vending room so we were expecting annoying noise - which we did NOT get. We were very happy with the room and the hotel in general. All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Location. The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa is a two-tower resort property located less than three blocks from the Honolulu Zoo and the Waikiki Aquarium in Honolulu, Hawaii. The International Marketplace stands five blocks away.

Hotel Features. Seven on-site restaurants and bars include the Kuhio Beach Grill that specializes in Pacific Rim and continental cuisine. Moana Terrace overlooks the ocean and hosts Hawaiian entertainment. A noodle shop and a sushi bar, Restaurant Run, provide Asian culinary flair. Arancino di Mare serves Italian pastas and pizzas while D.K. Steak House features dry-aged steaks. Sansei Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar serves Pacific Rim cuisine nightly. A staffed business center is on site, and wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee. This property offers 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space that includes three ballrooms. The 6,000-square-foot Spa Olakino offers salon services and a roster of body treatments that employ fresh, Hawaiian-grown plants. The hotel includes two freshwater outdoor pools with rental cabanas, a spa tub and a 24-hour complimentary fitness room equipped with free weights and treadmills with mounted televisions.

Guestrooms. Located in two high-rise towers, all 1,310 guestrooms provide private, furnished balconies with city, partial ocean or ocean views. Rooms feature Marriott's Revive Collection bedding with 300-thread count cotton linens, down comforters with tropical cotton covers, four down pillows, bolsters and a separate mattress topper. High-speed wired and wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Mini fridges and coffeemakers are provided. Bathrooms contain eight toiletry samples and handheld showerheads. Hotel rooms are smoke free.

Expert Tip. Steeped in Hawaiian tradition, the hotel offers activities such as hula-dance lessons, lei making and Hawaiian quilting. This property is also the site of the late Queen Liliuokalani's two summer homes, after which the hotel's two towers are named.
