Trip Type: Romance Review 17 of 34Stay here and be hip -- or be hip and stay here
If you like a scene -- this is a good place for you -- dimly lit, pulsating club music at reception. Room continues with the mood lighting, the same techno music if you use their CD, and modern, open floor plan. The clubs on the premises also add atmosphere. Our room was away from the street, and with the curtains drawn, it was dark and quiet as a cave, even when the sun was up -- which I think is great for sleeping. In addition to the scene, the service was excellent -- very friendly, efficient and capable. They also know their city well. We asked for local spots and they turned out great. Location is quiet on the weekends (financial district), but close to Old Montreal and connected to the city by the Metro Stop across the street and the underground network that runs right through Square Victoria. One final bonus, there's an inexpensive parking garage right around the corner from the hotel. All-in-all, first rate -- would go back in an instant.

Trip Type: Romance Review 19 of 34Great Stay
My husband and I loved our stay at the W! We didn't want to leave! We reserved a "Wonderful Room" and were extremely happy with it. We even checked in a little early. The staff were so helpful and cheery; not at all snobby. The best parts of the hotel were the awesome lounges/ bars. The $12 mojitos are worth every penny. The lighting and design of the hotel in general is chic and modern...loved it. The room was great for a couple, but I would not reccommend sharing a room with other couples or a family... glass shower is exposed to sleeping/living area. Only weird thing was getting charge $8 for a bottle of water by the bed that we thought was complimentary. Overall I could not be happier with our stay and we can't wait to go back someday!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 20 of 34W Hotel is for young singles
The service was wonderful. The hotel was dark and dim like being in a nightclub. The bathroom is not private and inviting. The temperature in the room was not personally adjustable and had to be adjusted by staff. It was not a comfortable hotel.

Rooms were large. The bathroom was very nice. The only problem was it took a while to clean the rooms. But the attendants were very hospitable

Trip Type: Romance Review 22 of 34Amazing experience, but ONLY for a romantic getaway!
I would NOT come here with friends, family, or share a room with other couples - the shower is a full wall of CLEAR glass that cannot be covered! Really nice staff (we thought they'd be pretentious, but were really cool) and great location - we'll definitely stay here again!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 23 of 34Great Hotel
The room was really nice. My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary there and it was really great. It's a very hip/trendy hotel so it suited our needs perfectly. The room was clean and very comfortable. The lounges were comfortable. I would recommend this as a hotel for couples. It's not really a family hotel setting.

Trip Type: Romance Review 27 of 34Trendy, Dog-Friendly Hotel
The W Hotel is very trendy and the staff was great. We brought our dog with us and the staff, once again, was great, providing us with a giant pillow and water and food dishes for her, already in the room when we got in. We were also allowed to check in 3 hours before the official check-in time of 3:00 p.m. the room was great and the bed was awesome. There's a relatively cheap parking garage nearby as well. Definitely would stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 28 of 34Too modern
Great staff, great hotel, but very modern design. Just a matter of personal taste. If you like warm and cosy places, this is not for you.
