Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 92Good for the money
I spent a few days there recently just to chill out. No skiing or strenuous hiking. The property was well maintained and clean. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet - I was there during low season (late October). The room was clean and reasonably supplied with needed items. I booked a studio room because I wanted a balcony and a kitchen. However, my room did not have a balcony as indicated in the "Room Amenities". I did not complain as the weather was abnormally chilly and windy during my stay (temperature at low 20s) and I would not have been able to stay outside much anyway. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and they were very clean too. There was a dishwasher but they just provided the ordinary dish detergent for hand wash. I could only imagine how nice it would be if I could use the machine :) I would go back if I could find a special deal on this property. For my recent stay, I had the 3rd night free special.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 92Very Quiet Off Season
We went in the middle of October. It was quiet and nice. The room was comfortable, and clean. I recommend this place to a couple that live in the cities and want to get away. The only issue I had was everything their closed early, but me and my wife spent our time mostly in the room, and during the day at Tahoe city.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 92Great for families
A summer visit at the Village at Squaw Creek is hard to beat. For the low "summer" price I paid we had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo with a pull out sofa in the living room / kitchen which slept four in total (Mom, Dad, daughter, son) comfortably and with privacy. I say low "summer" price as the winter prices are much higher due to skiiing. There was a great balcony to sit on and watch the scene below too. There are many restaurants and shops in the complex so you don't have to go far for anything. The architecture is modern and furnishings are really upscale and sophisticated. A full kitchen with all the conveniences of home. Dogs are welcome too if you have one. I don't and it wasn't an issue in the cleanliness department. There are many activities available near the hotel, like bike riding, rope courses, wall climb and there's a great gondola ride—albeit expensive— to the high camp with swimming pool and ice rink. The only down side is it can be slightly noisy after family bed-time, with the younger adult crowd coming out of restaurant/bars after 11:00. Seems everyone's having a good time. Go do it, you won't regret it.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 8 of 92Pleasant room
Because it is off-season we seemed to be the only ones in the hotel, but the room was very comfortable and the woman at the desk was pleasant. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 92Hot and Loud
There isn't any air conditioning and if you try to open the windows you hear all the noise from people passing by on the way to or from the village. This wouldn't be a problem at 7pm but it goes on until about 2am...So the options are don't sleep because you are too hot or don't sleep because you can hear people talking and yelling most of the night. The beds were very uncomfortable and the blankets had holes in them(maybe to help keep you cooler?)but tacky all the same.

Great accommodations. The room we received had a small kitchen area with a refrig., microwave, two-burner cooktop, dishes, sink, small dishwasher, etc. The unit was spacious and comfortable. It was off-season so there was no noise from other units. We were on the top floor and had a nice view of the mountains.
