Amazing hotel, great location

This is a small hotel thats centrally located, 100 ft away from a metro station - and has eateries, stores etc on the same street. It was safe, the staff friendly - recommend it !

I received more for my money in almost all aspect of a chain hotel. The room were very clean with all conviniences available. By staying on the backcourt, it was very quiet althought Bvd du Montparnasse is very noise.

My only dissapointment was the no wake up call as I requested the night before my second departure (on the 23rd) Lucky for me I woke up on my own at 5.45am and got down to the lobby in time to get my blue van (already there for the 7 am pickup) The person at the desk said it was an error by the person who took the order, noting it on the book (I saw her doing it) was not necessary as the system is totally automated. It would not stop us from booking the hotel stay with them again.

Pleasant Stay

Hotel was located little bit outside the main tourist attractions but it was close enough to metro/train/bus stops where this was not a major issue for us. It was clean and as roomy as expected in Paris. Front desk was helpful and the fact that you get a microwave and a small stove was definitely a bonus. They did a wonderful job with sound proofing the rooms where we did not hear any outside noise.

Great room for families

Two connecting rooms with mini-kitchen. Great for those traveling with kids. Good size rooms and decent price for Paris. Neighborhood is fabulous. Lively with tons of options for food. Close to Metro and RER.

Great Value

I highly recommend this hotel. Our room was good size for a European hotel and we had a small refrigerator, two electric burners, a microwave and a sink. The only negative with the room was the beds which were hard. I ended up folding a thick blanket and using it as an additional mattress pad which helped a lot. The staff was very nice and had good command of English. The modest buffet breakfast was more than adequate. This hotel is located one block from a Metro station which is so convenient; and there are a multitude of restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. This is a great value for Paris and I would stay here again and again.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel

The hotel claims to be 4 star, but it is a 3 star hotel. The bed was in a poor quality (the mattrace should have been changed 5 years ago). The hotel elevator did not work and the receptionist pointed out to the staircase when I asked how to get my suitcase up to the 4th floor. The room was clean though and the location is very convenient, right next to subway, good restaurant and close to the train to Charles de Gaulle. This is a convenient place if you do not get charged 4 star price and are not too fussy.

Great hotel to stay in

The Villa Luxembourg Hotel was an enjoyable stay in Paris. This was our first trip and we loved the amenities it provided. The only negative thing was that the beds were not 4-star rated mattresses and the pillows were not much larger than airplane pillows. But the staff brought several more pillows when we asked and this helped. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable and the metro line with the Vivan stop was very convenient. Would definitely stay there again! Great staff!!

Tiny Rooms BUT Great Service and Location

First trip to Paris. This area 14th quadrant, is non touristy which is great. Many wonderful restaurants within 5 minute walk. 1 Block to Vavine Metro station and 10 minutes metro ride to most sites ( Eiffel, Louvre, Musee Dorsay etc.) We really preferred this location to those closer to the river and tourist sites as it was not so touristy. As for the service at the hotel..Tre Bien. Very helpul. OK the room was TINY but that's Paris unless you want to spend $400 a nite. Bathroom updated and fine. Only complaint was we both agreed the bed was very uncomfortable. Otherwise it's a great hotel,location for the money.

Perfect Location for a Romantic Getaway

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Villa Luxembourg for a romantic new years eve in Paris. All of the hotel staff spoke english, and were very helpful. The room was a decent size, with spectacular windows. The hotel's location was ideal - Montparnasse - the district that links practically everything that Paris has to offer right to your door. The hotel staff even made our last night dinner reservations at the FANTASTIC seafood restaurant across the street - Le Bar a'Huitres. It was the best stay in Paris I've had thus far. I would definitely stay at Villa Luxembourg again!

Outstanding Hotel

Great value for the money. We rented 2 connecting rooms which was great for traveling with kids. Hotel is in a very convenient location, within easy access of 3 subway stations along Montparnasse avenue. Front office manager was very helpful. Will like to stay there again.

Excellent Location

4th stay in a Paris hotel. This was the best value. Great location. Steps from the metro. Many fine eating places within a block.
