    This place is amazing and the staff is fantastic. The only problem, which is actually an ok thing if I would have know, is that it is way on a hillside. Very beautiful location with great views of the city. But at the same time we had to walk up this huge hill to come and go from the hotel. There is nothing up there but the hotel as far as dining. So unless you want to take a taxi every time you want to go somewhere be prepared to get a real workout every time you come and go. But the view makes up for it as long as you don't mind the exercise. Just make sure to get a taxi if you have luggage.

The Villa Florentine is set in a converted 18th century Renaissance convent perched atop the Old Town overlooking Lyon, two kilometres from its centre. The 28 airy individually decorated guestrooms set over six floors, meld Renaissance and modern Italian design with coordinating furnishings.
