    Although the hotel claimed to have a safe and a wet bar it did not. We were told both had been removed, but it was crudely done. The door was hanging off the cabinet which originally held the wet bar. Towels were thin , the TV got only 3 Spanish stations. Worst was our experience the last night. The hotel had lost power. Ww returned to find the staff sitting in the dark. One member escorted us to our room with a flashlight and let ust in the dark - they had no flashlight to spare. It was obvious this hotel had seen better days. On the positive, the hotel is located on the bus line and provided free parking which saved the hassle of parking in Granada. The bus ride was 45 min. and the drivers very helpful.

Location. The three-storey Hotel Villablanca is housed in a modern whitewashed building located in Albolote, eight kilometres from Granada. The Alcaiceria Market and El Banuelo, the 11th-century Arab baths, are both eight kilometres away. Granada Airport (GRX) is 12 kilometres distance, an approximate driving time of 20 minutes.

Hotel Features.The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool set in the gardens with a sun terrace and loungers. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer currency exchange, as well as advice on sightseeing in Granada, and there is also a room service menu. Complimentary parking is available for those arriving by car.

Restaurant Villa Blanca serves Mediterranean cuisine in a contemporary setting.

Guestrooms.The 70 guestrooms, over three floors, have light decor, contemporary furnishings and balconies. All are equipped with satellite television, direct-dial phones, wireless Internet access, climate control, safes and minibars. Bathrooms have hair dryers and makeup mirrors.

Expert Tip. Visit Granada's Bib-Rambla Square, eight kilometres from the hotel, where a fountain and a multitude of florists produce a dazzling display of colours.
