    I've been to the area a few times now and have stayed at various hotels in the city. This hotel was comparable to a more expensive one but much more affordable. Most of the hotel staff was able to speak English so communication was not a problem. They also assisted in providing directions to the drivers of the local taxis to get me to my destination each day. The shuttle from the airport was very convenient and they are always at the airport when flights land, you do not need to schedule with the hotel before your trip. One suggestion - be sure to get small bills (20's or smaller) when you change money at the airport. I had gotten 50 soles notes which the hotel was unable to change to smaller denominations so I could have taxi fare.

    There are rooms in Iquitos for half the price of this room. I stayed for 3 days and took 3 freezing showers, not one day with hot water, and the free breakfast wasn't worth even the free price.
