Except Neighborhood, everything else is gr8

The only issue is location, once u step outside the property it feels unsecure, but we were reassured by the management lady that it is safe which turned out be true...but still back of ur mind u always feel unsafe another big issue is PARKING!!!

Great room for the money

I stayed with my spouse and my three children. It was comfortable enough for us to stay. The neighborhood was great for us because it is lively and full of atmosphere. The train was one block north/west for the "A" train. The "1" train was three block east, 1 block north. Enough areas to shop and eat late at night. We went by vehicle, so parking was a little bit of a hassle, but if you do not want to worry about parking, just go upto 185th and Broadway which is a 24 hour parking facility. I would stay there again with my family, it was great, better than what I originally expected. Nicely kept and clean.

Reasonable price, could have better amenities

There were six of us sharing this apartment for 3 nights during new years. It was a good find for that time of the year. Pros: The apartment was well lit and had nice furniture. The kitchen was stocked with useful utensils and crockery. The fridge was large and worked well.Subway was only a two block walk and there was a straight 40 minute train ride to times square. Cons: The neighborhood was largely a hispanic area with a lot of "suspicious" looking characters at night. The area was quite dirty as well. Our biggest problem was with the heat in the apartment. The apartment had an age old coil heating system which would automatically shut off while it was still cold. The heater in one of the bedrooms didnt work and they had to sleep in the living room couch. The apartment is advertised and 3 bedroom with 2 bathrooms, but in reality it is only a 1 1/2 bathrooms. Only one of the bathrooms had a shower.

Best Kept Secret in Hudson Heights!

I hate to go on and on about this place as I want to keep it for myself and future trips. If you are looking for something off the beaten path (i.e. other than Midtown and Times Square), this is the place. At least $100 less than what we've paid in Midtown but with 3 bedrooms! We have just fallen in love with this neighborhood and visit frequently. We will definitely book this again. If there is a downside for those wishing to have the typical New York City experience, this location may not be for you. While it is less than a 20 minute subway ride to Midtown via the A-train express line, it is still not close for those who want to do the typical NY things.

"Needs Improvement"

Though located in a quaint part of northern Manhattan on the westside, this ground floor 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment faces the street which was very loud with the young kids playing and shouting on the stoop and heavy delivery traffic. Though furnished really nicely and appearing to be ideal, by the second night there was a cockroach infestation and closer inspection of the bed linens revealed dead bug remains and dust mites under the top mattress cover and dried blood on the box spring. We checked out early the following morning. We are still negotiating to get a partial refund despite the rental company's "not responsible for early checkout" policy.

Close to the Subway

This 3 bedroom apartment was very New York. Their was a bakery down the block, 24 grocery store on the next block up, and only 1 block away from the A train, which gets you to most anywhere you would want to go in NYC. Very satisfied.
