Great Hotel for the price!

This Hotel was a great place to stay. The breakfast was always on time in the breakfast room. The pool was kind of small, but no one really used it so it was like we had it to ourselves. The rooms had a great air conditioner which was good because it was really hot outside . We didn't rent a car, so we were really happy to find out the bus had several stops all around this hotel. We traveled for cheap! It was a great stay with no problems at all.

Great For The Price

Went to Fort Lauderdale on personal business for eight nights. Didn't want to spend too much on lodging because it was just me on business. This hotel was perfect for my needs. Clean rooms, courtious staff, large parking lot, and close to I-95 and major roadways. My room had a refridgerator and microwave which is convienient on long stays. Pool was clean.

Well Worth the Price

The hotel lobby was very nice and the staff was extremely accommmodating. The room was attractive, clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast could have been better. I prefer a good old-fashioned cup of coffee instead of a machine that gives me a ton of choices of fancy coffees. Overall, I was very pleased with what I got for the price. :)

Very good for the money

Although the location was a bit distant from Port Everglades where our cruise departed from, the quality of the hotel for the rate we got was well worth it. The room was quite spacious and the bedding was luxurious. The front desk staff were courteous and assisted us happily with arranging transportation to the cruise terminal.

University Hotel Ft Lauderdale

The only complaint was it was near the wrong airport. Not being familiar with the Ft Lauderdale area was our down fall. Everything else was great. Just watch where you book and make sure it is in the right area. No complaints about the hotel at all very nice for the money. Very clean and great value. Would stay again

great hotel!

we were very pleased with this hotel. I spent hours pouring over reviews such as I am writing right now, and I was unsure what to think. We got a very reasonable price for our three night stay. The hotel lobby was very nice and updated with a nice sitting area. The front desk attendants were very nice and helpful. Our room was pretty big and nicely furnished. The breakfast wasn't much more than cereal, toast, oatmeal, etc but it was quiet and not crowded and enough to satisfy. If we were to go back to Fort Lauderdale, we would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Value

Can't beat it for the money. The room was clean and comfortable. Outstanding continental breakfast; not your run of the mill muffins and bagels. There was a little of everything to satisfy any taste. The pool was in excellent condition. Worth the stay.

Good room at a good price

The most we liked was the cleanness of the room. Nice lobby. We would expext a cleaner breakfast area. But it was a nice experience for us to expend a nigth at the hotel.

Great Hotel for the money!! Better than I thought it would be!

Very pleased with this Hotel. Pool was VERY clean (crystal clear water) and not over chlorinated. Room was big with a refrigerator and microwave in it. Continental breakfast was good too. Staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again!!!

Great stay, good price

The hotel was great, there was not much around it in terms of restaurants and attractions, besides fast food, the beach was about 20 minutes away. The hotel staff was very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool is kind of small and the area has a lot of shade but it was clean. The breakfast was good, your typical continental with bagels and waffles and pancakes that you toast yourself, fruit and cereal, coffee and juice. All in all a great stay.

Amazing facility for the price

For the price it was amazing -- especially for me needing 2 rooms for 5 days it adds up quickly. No frills, clean and friendly. They do need to figure out a way to use a less smelly cleaner -- the lobby and hallways reak of Pine Sol -- but once in the room it is fine. They should get covers for their coffee cups to take a cup for the road..
