Nice room for the money

The room was adequate for for a short stay. For the price we got what you would expect. I would stay there again if I were in the area. It is next to the Wright Brothers National Memorial. If you are going for the beach experience this may not be for you.

Needs a cleaning

First room we checked into smelled overwhelmingly like body odor, but front desk very quickly arranged a more suitable room. This one was much better, but the bathtub could have been a bit cleaner. (The odor, by the way, was present in another area of the hotel, so I'm wondering if it is a mold issue.) Rooms are small but comfortable if you won't be spending much time in them. Location is very quiet, which is a plus. All staff members -- every one of them -- are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Price was a bit high for off-season, particularly given the fact that the hotel seemed nearly empty.

NC Lodge

This hotel is near a 7-11 so when everything else closes down in NC you can get something to eat and drink. The rooms were clean and the service was nice. It's a very basic, small and simple room but it does the job well for the price. There was no dirt or bugs that I could see and everything functioned well like the TV, lights, ac, etc.

Very Pet Friendly

This hotel was very well kept and has easy access to the beach. They were also very accommodating to our pet. Job well done.

A lovely place to lay your head

We only needed a place to stay for a night to attend a friend's wedding in the area. Although we weren't sure how convenient the location would be to the places we needed to go, the Travelodge was located right on "beach road," which is the main drag in Kill Devil Hills. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating and our room was clean. We enjoyed the view of the pool and went for a quick dip during our brief stay. I guess due to the pools location by trees, it was a bit dirty (it could have used a good skimming), but beyond that, everything seemed in order. I was very impressed with how friendly the staff was the morning we left. The woman who was replenishing the continental breakfast smiled and greeted everyone and made sure that the supply of bagels and fruit stayed full.

Comfort at the Beach

Nags Head Beach Hotel is a great comfortable casual hotel. We have stayed there for 20 years (under different names at times) The service now is excellent and efficient. Housekeepers are more efficient this year than ever before.

Good choice

Close proximity to the beach and restaurants and ample size parking spaces. The room size was larger than I expected. Small breakfast area, the continental breakfast was mostly carbs. Overall, it was a great choice for a hotel at the beach. I will definitely book a room in the future.

When it Rains

there is not a whole lot to do at the beach. We brought the Xbox to play and watch DVDs and it did not work on the hotel TV. We even asked for help and tried 3 it also fried the a/v cord. So don't waste space bringing your game system. Also the hotel advertises HBO for free and that's a lie too.

Good Location, Room Average

The AC was very loud. We had a corner room which was a small room for 2 queen size beds. The bathroom was the size of a phone booth. It was the smallest one I have ever seen in a hotel. Scott at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. He recommended The Red Drum Restaurant for dinner. The ribs were very good and service was good. The hotel was right across from the beach. Bottom line - you get what you pay for in the room but great location for beach people.
