Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 64Cheap....but I guess you get what you pay for......
If cheap is what you are looking for, look no further. However if you want to sleep in a place that you're not afraid drug deals are going down, this is not for you. Lots of random noise and people hanging around outside of our room at all hours of the night. This is not someplace I'd bring the family for a week's vacation, but for an overnight stay it was OK.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 2 of 64great room for the money
the hotel is on 28th street, this is about centerline on the virginia beach boardwalk. just walk across the street, and south to the next boardwalk access way. the beach is right there. parking lot has exits on two different roads it boarders. the main interstate to get to virginia beach is a three minute ride south from the hotel. very easy to drive around the town, all of the streets showed up on the GPS.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 64nice location
I stayed for two nights over labor day weekend. Checkin was at 4:00 and I arrived at 11:30. They said i could get in my room at 1:00 and i was happy with that. Also, originally i had to take a smoking room and they were able to change it to non smoking. Very close (across the street) from the beach and 3 streets from the concert i was attending on 31st st. Only problem i had was when i was checking out, early in the a.m., no one was at the desk and there was no drop box. I guess next time i should leave my room keys in the room when that happens. Overall, satisfied with the trip!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 64NIGHTMARE AT TRAVELLODGE
Hotel desk clerk was very rude when I tried to check into the hotel early and I was unable to go to the beach for hours because of the desk clerk. The room had bugs in it and "heavy" sea air smell. Continental breakfast was real bad and I bought my coffee and breakfast rolls from seven-eleven around the corner. Finally, I had to check out two days early because of the condition of this place.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 64Great location
After other reviews I was skeptical, but after the stay I found the staff was very willing to help. My husband is wheelchair bound and the housekeeper was more than willing to accomidate us. The location was great 1 block from the beach and shops/restaurants/activities within walking distance. For the price this a good deal, not top quality, but a good value.

Loud motel with people partying outside my room all night. There are better places to stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 64Convenient
The location of this hotel is perfect for seeing shows at the VA Beach Ampitheater. There's a shuttle right outside the lobby that leaves for the ampitheater 70 minutes before the show starts! Also, it's conveniently located across from the beach and right on the strip :)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 64their management is very bad
I would not recommend it at all. I asked for a none smokers room and they give me a room that the room and sheets smelled like smoke. there were two chairs in the room and both were broken. when I called them they said they will replace them, but they never did. I had to go and get towels and cleaning supplies by myself. there wasn't anything called room service.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 64Would have been good...but
We stayed here over sand soccer weekend. The condition of the room and pool was satisfactory for the price, and the location to where we needed to be was great. The problem was that the walls are paper thin, and our neighbors yelled and screamed all night for both nights until about 4:30 am. The second night it was an argument with profanity and everything. I finally called the police after 1 hour of nothing but screaming and curse words (my 10 year old was there), but it didn't stop after they left. The hotel does not have night staff so we were stuck listening to it until it stopped. So needless to say I was a little sleep deprived and grouchy when I left. I probably would not stay at this hotel again, I value my sleep:)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 64DEFINITELY not your regulart cheap hotel!
I was very suprised at how clean and nice the hotel was from what I read from other's comments. The outside of the hotel just needs a good painting, but as far as the rooms go, they are beautiful! Very clean and looks like it was just renevated. Everything in the room looks brand new. Comes with a fridge and complimentary coffee and coffemaker. I didn't try the breakfast or anything because I left before it was ready. The staff is excellent. Very family oriented. I arrived my first night out of three at around 1am and had to go to their other branch about 4 blocks away and they were waiting with my key and a smile.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 64Basic Hotel Stay
This hotel is great for just a quick getaway to the beach. You are right on the strip and close to the highway. Its nothing fancy or that great if you want to spend some time in your hotel, but just enough to relax from the hustle and bustle of daily life. My biggest complaint would be the noise level that can be heard through the walls which is typical of these cheaper hotels.
