Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 36Met Expectations- "Again"
I stayed here last year during the marathon, and again this year. It's very close to AT&T Center, starting line, and everything else. Front desk was very helpfull, bed was comfortable, room was very clean and quiet, couldn't hear the highway traffic. But again, the pillows were horrible (Bring your own). For the money, this is the best deal in town.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 36Good choice for the area
This hotel was not quite as described in the description. I booked 2 "king suites" with sofabeds in each, which was needed to accommodate my whole party. I also needed to know if the hotel accepted pets, so I'd called the hotel prestay & was told that they did accept small dogs with a $10 per day rate. This was fine with me. But when I arrived, neither room had sofabeds, & was told they had none available, so I had to book a third room at rack rates. I was also told that they didnt accept pets, but when I told the desk clerk that I'd called ahead, he said that he'd make an exception in my case. Huh??? In my room, the coffee maker didn't work, but they very quickly replaced it, the bathroom door wouldn't shut. (They couldn't do anything about that with the room occupied, which was understandable.)And Oh my gosh.... bring your own pillows! They really need to replace the ones they have. How can a pillow be both flat & lumpy at the same time!? The 2nd & 3rd rooms were fine (except for the pillows!). I struck up a chat with a gentleman at the front desk, who turned out to be the owner of the hotel, who apologized for the confusion, but didn't offer to make any sort of adjustment for the unnecessary 3rd room. Bottom line? The entire building smelled musty (but is being renovated a little bit at a time) & the front desk staff could use some training. The cont. breakfast, while not elaborate, was certainly adequate. All in all, it wasn't a terrible stay, and I would certainly recommend it to those who are budget minded that need to be close to Brooks Medical center, or Ft. Sam Houston.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 36Great Budget Hotel
For the price we paid, we were given a very large room with a king size bed and a sitting room with a desk and couch. The room was clean despite the pitiful looking outside of the hotel. The staff were nice. I did not check out the breakfast, but the coffee smelled great! Our room was surrounded by other rooms that were being remodeled. Fortunately, the work crews were not very loud while we were there! A few negatives about this hotel are 1. No HBO and Starz despite advertising them in the amenities, 2. We stayed 2 nights and our room was not cleaned despite our request to have it cleaned and restocked. I had to request more towels for our second night, and only received two very small towels after being questioned about the reason for the towel request for a few minutes.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 36limited internet
Building seems old. Wireless internet seldom worked. Rooms are very large with good sink, micro, fridge arrangement. Nothing special but adequate value. Not returning.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 36Great room for the money
The room was great. Had the King Suite and it was totally worth the money. The staff was very nice and accomadating. The carpet was a little worn but nothing to gripe about. I would definately stay here again. Hard to find good service these days, but they went the extra mile to make us very comfortable.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 36Outstanding overall
This hotel has nice managers who pay attention to the needs of the guests. They smile and greet you as you come and go. We got a very large room with a king bed, couch, TV and microwave for a great price. You have to drive a few exits down to find restaurants but there is plenty nearby and the San Antonio attractions are close. We will definitely be staying there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 36"UGet What U pay 4"
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was ok but like my title say "U get what U pay 4". The room was pretty clean but being a neat freak was not clean enough. The tissue box holder was broken, the tub was stained, and the pool very small. Make sure you bring your own iron it left black stuff on my son clothes and leaked water from the bottom. The location was great to for all the things we wanted to do, the longest ride was to Seaworld and that was a little less than 30 minutes, downtown was about 8 minutes so location was GREAT! The breakfast had no protein items, the frosted flakes was not frosted, after a certain number of free cups of coffee the rest of the guest had to pay for theirs, but I did see one time the worker give money to one person so they did not have to pay. The next morning my family and I found it better to just sleep in and go get breakfast on our own. The hotel workers were great and very helpful so I would stay here again but now I know what to expect when I come this time. "U get what U pay 4"

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 36if all you want to do is sleep and go
It was nice. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. I was glad that we had a frigde and a microwave because the continetial breakfast is first come first serve so if you are first and you have more than two people in your party then the rest will be hungry.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 36Spacious
Overall it was a good hotel. We had a suite so my son felt like he had his own room. A couple of things I have to say is the fan was very noisy and kept us up the first night. The manager did say he was getting it fixed after we left. Another thing was our room didn't have a table in it so we had to eat on the bed. For the price we were very satisfied and I would definitely recommend it.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 36Better than the reviews stated.
I was very impressed with the size of the room. I read the comments before I booked and decided to take a chance. The room was perfect for me and a buddy. The second bed was seperated by a large distance, so I couldn't hear him snore. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet. If there was one flaw it was the pillows, they were a little lumpy.
