Travelodge Hotel Calgary Airport

checked in to the Travelodge Hotel Calgary Airport on 8/31/08. This was the filthiest hotel I have stayed in. There were pizza crust in the elevator floor. At the entrance to the hotel was trash on the ground, overflowing trash cans. I was supposed to have a queen size bed but it was a double bed. They advertise a "lounge", the only thing they had was a 6' counter top with no stools, and a very limited supply of liquor, no tonic etc. The room itself was one half the size of a typical hotel room. They charged extra for everything, you paid to park whether you were a guest or not, you paid to use the computer for guest. They advertise a pool but it was never open. I have never stayed at a hotel that did not give me a bill when I checked out. They told me that the confirmation was my bill.

Won't do that again.

While some things were okay. Nothing, except the cookies in the lobby, was exceptional. A lamp didn't work because the bulb was missing. The coffee maker wasn't clean. And the restaurant was awful. Just awful. Service stunk. Prices ridiculously inflated for what was served.

Taveling nightmare

Attitude at the desk was very poor waited through 8 phone calls and one change of shift to get my room while my wife turned yellow after a 4 hour drive. Room was shabby and I killed a bug crossing the TV screen..
