This bed and breakfast resides where Wood County, Franklin County and Hopkins County meet. There are seven golf courses within 30 miles, including Cypress Creek Country Club, 16 miles away, and The Links at Land's End, 17 miles away. Governor Hogg Shrine Park and Lake Bob Sandlin State Park are within 20 miles. Over 250 antique and craft shops are also within 20 miles.
Features. This estate consists of an 1888 mansion, carriage house and a cottage, located on a two-acre estate surrounded by gardens and 400-year old oak trees. The mansion is a Colonial two-story home, and the carriage house previously functioned as servants' quarters. Garden benches, swings, rocking chairs and platform rockers are located throughout the grounds. Thee Hubbell House serves complimentary country-style breakfasts each morning. Lunch and dinner are available at the inn's restaurant, which serves American dishes featuring steak, seafood and chicken with organically grown salads and hot, homemade bread. Business services include a conference room, computer, fax and photocopy services, and complimentary wireless Internet access. The property also features an outdoor pool and a spa tub.
Guestrooms Guestrooms at Thee Hubbell House are located in the mansion and the carriage house. Rooms are furnished with carefully selected period antiques, which serve as an appropriate representation of the historic essence of this estate. All of the 11 guestrooms are accessible by private entrances, and offer private bathrooms with bathrobes. Microwave ovens, refrigerators and cable television are also provided.
