Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 1009felt more like a Best Western...
The lobby/bar/restaurant are beautiful. The room was cramped. The bathroom was tiny (toilet practically touched the shower) Bed was great. Relatively clean (shower had hair in it). The fan/air conditioning was really, really loud. Overall was satisfied, but I have stayed in much nicer, more spacious Westins. Great location near Union Square, Financial District, etc.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 1009Very Helpful Staff
The room was clean and very nice but the staff were exceptional. We were given clear directions to bus lines as well as a map of the area which was very helpful. In addition, we had difficulty driving into San Francisco due to the Bay Bridge closure, and were given very clear directions to alternate routes out of the city.

This was a great hotel. Very comfortable and very easy to get around SF. Great Value in this hotel

Westin Market Street was a great hotel for the price and location. Considering this hotel puts you right in the middle of great shopping, great dining, and all of what makes San Francisco so great, you can't beat this hotel. We would stay here again if we visit SF again.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 1009nice hotel for the price.,
Good but expensive breakfast. Recommended over the somewhat tired Westoin St. Francis at Union Sq.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 1009Fabulous weekend stay!
The rooms were large, clean, and especially quiet - considering we were right next to the elevator - we didn't hear a thing!! The beds were heavenly - it was the best night sleep I've had in a long time! I loved the area, just south of Union Square. The best was watching "critcal mass" on the Friday before Halloween. That alone was worth staying at the hotel! Also, extremely convenient to the muni - as I found out Friday evening when I could not get a taxi.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 1009Very Nice Hotel
This hotel was very well appointed. Beautiful furniture, carpet and wall coverings (my wife is an interior designer). The location is good with access to the cable car route a couple of blocks away. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the price of parking ($48/night hotel parking or $25/night at one of the parking garages across the street. This is typical of San Francisco though as space of any kind here is at a premium. The other negative was that our room didn't get made up one of the two days we stayed there. Not a big deal though. They brought us plenty of clean towels and toiletries.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 1009The Hotel was Great no complaints, BUT
$48.00 (+ $5.00 & chg tax) to park overnight at the Hotel is outrageous. Oh + a tip for the valet!!!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 1009Excellent Stay in an Outstanding Hotel
My Westin stay could not have been nicer. I had a lovely, spotless room with flat screen tv, spacious work desk, and very nice bed linens. Great location, friendly, helpful staff, and great shopping nearby.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 10094 Stars???
This room was very nice, but had no fan in the bathroom. One would think a four star hotel would have a necessary item like this, especially in a humid environment. With 3 people showering every day, you can imagine the room was very wet at times.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 1009This is the place to be
The hotel was great, in a very active part of town. I love the city and this local was close to everything. The room was very comfortable, clean, and roomy. Very nice. Would stay there every time I visit.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 1009Ok if you get a deal
Just needed a convenient room for a night in San Francisco. We were getting in late and flying out early, so didn't feel any need to splurge. Checking into the hotel was chaotic and getting our bags to our room was a debacle. The room itself was tiny. There was barely room to walk around the bed, there was nowhere to sit and there was nowhere besides the floor to put our luggage. The bathroom was also tiny had had an annoying energy-efficient light bulb that took a couple of minutes to actually fully illuminate. The location was decent and the place is probably ok if you're in town for business in the financial district. I don't recommend it for any extended stays.
