    Air Conditioner was extremely noisy and was either on or off--no intermediate settings that functioned. Toilet ran constantly. I had to remove the back and fix it every time I flushed it. Remote control batteries were dead. Had to call maintenance dept. to get them to switch it out. Drawer pull on drawer was broken. Water did not drain properly from bathroom sink.

Location. The Westin Resort Los Cabos in San Jose, Mexico, was designed by Mexican architect Juan Sordo Madaleno, noted for his use of the International Style and for introducing radical building concepts to meet the demands of tourism. The building's vibrant pink, yellow and blue exterior pop from the earthy red and brown desert cliffs upon which the gracefully curved main building rests. Seven championship golf courses are nearby the hotel. The 18-hole El Dorado and Cabo Real courses are the closest to the Westin Resort Los Cabos. Running maps are available to guide guests choosing to either run or walk the scenic 4.8 and 8 kilometer routes.

Hotel Features. A plethora of activities abound including seven pools and a nine- hole putting green overlooking the ocean. The property boasts two grass tennis courts, pool and sand volleyball, a full-service spa featuring the Starwood Spa Collection Heavenly Body Wrap and a fitness center featuring the WestinWORKOUT Powered by Reebok Gym. For meetings, weddings and other events, 11,000 square feet of indoor meetings space is available. For dining, Arrecifes offers fine dining overlooking the Sea of Cortez with live Jazz music. The menu includes such dishes as fresh red snapper, crab bisque and braised lamb chops. Inside the restaurant is the Asian Corner, which offers spicy chipotle tuna rolls, maki and nigiri. The La Playa restaurant provides poolside lunches, daily.

Guestrooms. All 243 suites feature balcony or partial views of the ocean. Suites include satellite television and high-speed Internet access. Heavenly showers and baths are featured in all suites.
