Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 66Wonderful and Quiet Hotel near Marina
This Westin has a location that is incredibly convenient to Stanley Park, which is just a short jog or bike ride along the sea wall away. It is not in the central downtown area, but as a result it seems quieter. The hotel was in absolute top form for our October 2009 visit, which I attribute not only to the great staff and facility but also to the upcoming Winter Olympics. Everyone is on their best behavior and looking ! We stayed in a standard Marina View room on the 6th floor. It was a terrific view and I prefer it over the Harbor View room. There were very few negatives to our stay. One issue was that the bath has only a shower, no tub. The shower is also a bit odd in design as it has only a 1/2 glass panel that remains "open" while showering. The water stays in (mostly), but it makes for a drafty shower at times! Also, the bath has a sliding pocket door which lacks some of the privacy of a full door. These were just 2 small issues with an otherwise excellent room in a great hotel. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Was the nicest room we've stayed in in years. What a beautiful stay from top to bottom. We had a view of the park, the water, the city...Sea planes landing...just perfect...A little pricey in these lean times but worth it in my opinion.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 66great location in Vancouver
We chose this hotel based on a friend's recommendation. We were very pleased with the hotel's location. Within walking/biking distance to Stanley Park, iMax theater, Gas Town and Granville Island. Great family friendly restaurants also within walking distance. Only downside was that the indoor pool is under renovation and is currently closed. Outdoor pool was open but it was too cold outside to use, even in August. A Starbuck's is located in the hotel too!

The hotel its self was nice but everything inside was Overpriced. But it said nothing on their web site about indoor pool being closed which was one of the main reasons we stayed there. Also, they charge to use the phone Even with a calling card. Dont touch the phone!!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 9 of 66Great location
This hotel is in a terrific location right on the harbor with wonderful views of city and the bay and very attractive grounds. It is close to many downtown sites and to Stanley Park. Overall it is a very nice hotel, but our particular room was right next to the elevator, which was very noisy all night. We were on the city side of the hotel, and there was a lot of street noise as well. I was disappointed that there wasn't better sound-proofing for the rooms.

Beautiful location. Updated room in the main building. You can hear the seaguls early in the morning. Helpful staff. The kids loved getting a different juice from the lobby every day.

This hotel we great! Very clean - comfortable beds - wonderful staff. But best for us was the location. We didn't need a rental car for our stay in vancouver prior to picking up a cruise. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do in the area. Would highly recommend this location for anyone spending a couple days in Vancouver before joining a cruise.
