Great room for the money

Great little hotel that is very close to the beach and within walking distance to just about everything you want to do in Mrytle.

Great value for the location

Can't beat the price and it is right across the street from the beach. The proprietor was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great Room for the Money

The motel had 2 double-beds with very firm mattresses. (You may want to bring you own pillows, the motel's were very flat)! A microwave, a fridge,stove, sink and cabinets to store goods. It had a small pool that was nice and clean. The motel is across the street from the beach. One downfall was, there was not a crosswalk, so we had to look both ways for cars to cross. But, this was not a major problem. The owners were kind and helpful. Coupon books of local resturants, attractions, etc. were very helpful. The owner even told us about a local pizza place, that we ate at and found a coupon for! This is a nice motel for the price. It's not the Ritz, but it's far from a roach motel!!

Excellent value for the money

While the hotel was a little run down if compared to more expensive hotels, my overall evaluation for our stay was quite good. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was better than we expected. I saw only families onsite and all were very friendly. It was nice and quiet the entire 6 day stay and just across the street from the ocean. The location was convenient to EVERYTHING! The air conditioner was a bit noisy but aside from that it worked beautifully. There were no pots, plates, glasses, etc and we had not brought any so that was a bit inconvenient but the appliences worked well and after buying plastic plates, etc we were able to cook meals adequately. My two oldest kids joined us for 3 days and all 5 of us had room enough (just) in a single efficiency. The maid came annoyingly early but she was the only real blemish on the stay. Overall we enjoyed the stay thoroughly and will come back next year!

A Big Mistake

Hotel is old and extremely run-down. Mouse droppings were seen in the office. This hotel should be sold, torn down, and room made for a new facility or a parking lot for nearby hotels. Definitely not a place to stay on vacation.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. The attendats were wonderful when I had questions.

Good Location

Good location of the hotel. Right across the street from the beach. Had no problems with any of the hotel staff. Room was tiny but clean and expected for the price. Great if going on a budget and just needing a bed to sleep in and a shower.

My family went there in late August to have vacation, the hotel is old,the rate is lower. but it is good for our vacation.

"Outstanding Hotel

Okay, could use some improvement..

Hotel was great location, but wasn't very clean. The room was not cleaned once during our 4 night stay. The rooms were decent for the price. Pool seemed a little on the gross side though. Would stay again though, just because of the price and location. It's not bad just for a night or two at the beach.

This hotel was sorta run-down. The pool gave us a few scratches because it was rough. Otherwise, everything else was okay. It was across from the hotels on the beach and was in walking distance. We will definately stay there again if we are on a budget like we were on this vacation.
