Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 661Great Historic Hotel
The hotel was beautiful! I loved the old style feel of the hotel. The room meet my needs prefectly! However since the hotel is historic the rooms did not have tons of amenities. The bathroom was awsome with its historic tile and feel. Overall I will stay at this hotel again. The only big issues was parking is very expensive and I feel it should be complimentary from the hotel.

The ambiance of the entry area and lounge are wonderful. Beautiful wood, and old-fashioned elegance. Hotel.com price was incredible, and less than 5 minutes to Alamo, Convention Center and Riverwalk.

The hotel is conveniently located for a stroll on the river walk, and the Alamo. The beds and linens were fantastic. The bathrooms clean but dated. We had two bathrooms in our room. In one the shower worked perfectly, but in the other one it took a while for the water to turn hot. The little park across the street was pretty, but some people were hanging out there at night. The hotel staff was very nice.

Great historic hotel and the location was ideal. Rooms though were small and bathrooms outdated but that's to be expected when staying in an older hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 661A little piece of history
The St. Anthony is a beautiful place to stay. It is rich with history, so you must overlook some of the aging of the building. If you can be a little forgiving of some of the antiquated fixtures, etc, you will enjoy the splendor and the richness of the hotel. The lobby is simply grand.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 661It was ok....
It was a little futher from the riverwalk than expected... Our room was really small and the a/c never cooled the room once during our two night stay... It was a pretty building and it was a good price... Just be prepared to walk...

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 661Did not meet my expectations
The hotel was very elegant and romantic for our 15th Anniversary celebration. The room was not vacuumed and bathroom not wiped down. The bathroom shower stall was dirty and the bed was very noisy. We could not move or shift while laying in bed without it being so loud it would wake me up.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 661A Gem
This hotel made my recent 5 day stay in San Antonio very pleasant. The hotel is almost 100 years old. As such, the rooms are larger, the lobby more grand, and the decorations more interesting than the average hotel chain. I was worried that "historic" might mean a run-down establishment; but that was definitely not the case. My room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the water pressure was great. The location was 2 blockes off the Riverwalk, and a 10 minutes walk to the Convention Center. The location was very good.I didn't eat a single meal at the hotel, because the Riverwalk was so close; however they did have a restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 661Housekeeping Forgot Some Items
Upon checking in found that there were no toiletries in the bathroom, went to the front desk and they were able to supply shampoo, conditioner & lotion. After housekeeping cleaned our room, we found that they did not leave any creamer for the coffee maker. Other than that, it is a beautiful hotel and just a short walk to the Alamo and Riverwalk. I would stay there again.

Walking into the St. Anthouny was like walking into a "creme de la creme" chi-chi hotel of the past. The lobby seems to go on forever and with it's six dazzling chandeliers you just walk and walk in an almost mesmerized state. Just couldn't tear myself from the lobby ! Our room was attractive with a four poster bed. Room was small however it had all the amenities we needed. Facinating to see how so very much still appeared to be the originals such as the doors and the bathroom tiles etc. We eat at the restaurant - great food and service! Not cheap - but creatively, deliciously presented. Great visit !
