One of the Much Better Hotels in Daytona

I have to go to this area frequently for business and this hotel has by far been the best for the money. The service was great and the room was refreshing and 1st class with a fridge, mini bar and plasma. I will be staying here many times more in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It was an absolute pleasure both times. Everyone was so friendly, proffessional, & overall helpful. Facility is all it appears to be in the pictures. Beautiful. Very relaxing. For 15yrs we vacationed in Panama City but 2 yrs ago tried Daytona. Loved it. THe Shores is our new favorite. Would recommend to anyone. Graet for Families w/children..

Best ever

I loved that the hotel room was spacious and it over looks the ocean, and also loved the swimming area with its own fire pits. I loved how easy it was for guest to go to the beach. Only thing i didn't like was the parking seemed too far, but hotel was great over all.

Losing Quality

We stayed a year ago and were thrilled with food, service, amenities. However, this trip showed a true decline in service, maintenence, and quality. Upon checkin, the safe was locked and took several hours to get maintence to service. The shower fixture fell off, the door handle fell off, the ottomon buttons were lying on top. Extremely nice HDTV capable flat screens without one high def channel!? We booked dinner for 15 people. Dining room was not busy and food/drink was so inconsistent..food came out before some received their cocktails. Fish was overcooked or under heat lamp for extended period of time. No discount offered and we had to pay the 20% gratuity on top of inferior food and poor service. Breakfast with a new waiter did not offer a better perspective of Azure. I ended up serving 4 at our table water, spenda, napkins etc. The outdoor pool area/tiki bar was wonderful. The young attendants were attentive and fun. A few things outdoors were in need of repair and seemed that they were not on a list to be completed any time soon. On another positive note...the spa was lovely. Massages were reasonably priced and well done.

Comfortable Hotel

I like this hotel becasue I feel comfortable there. I have stayed there twice now, the beds are to notch, the rooms are clean, the showers are nice, anything you need is done for you immediately. Also, the food in the restaurant is really good as is the service. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but really worth it.

Great hotel to "chill" by the beach

Very good service and food. The location is great. Bed is comfortable. Hotel could improve the common area furniture, but overall, a very good hotel.

A Bit Pricey

Considering the high rating & cost of the hotel, it might pay to maintain an upkeep on the little things (i.e., the ice bucket was rusted, the ceiling vent in the bathroom was hanging, and the knob for the shower kept coming off). Also, it would be nice if they gave an option of King vs double beds instead of making the choice for you. Other than that, the hotel is very nice.

Very nice hotel!

Really enjoyed my stay here. Highly recommend an ocean or partial ocean view. Beds extremely comfortable, very attentive staff, excellent restaurant and location. Will be staying here again.

Awesome Hotel

We were very impressed with The Shores. First rate service and great location. From the restuarant to the poolside service it was stellar. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing some R&R. My wife loved the spa. Breakfast on the terrace of our room was a highlight for us every morning. If you're looking to pinch pennies this place isn't for you, but if you are looking to indulge yourself then it fits the bill completely.
