The hotel is two kilometers from Sunshine Plaza and five kilometers from Underwater World. Maroochydore Airport is eight kilometers from the hotel.
Hotel Features. A contemporary beachfront hotel, The Sebel Maroochydore features a raised freeform outdoor pool and a rooftop patio with a spa tub and barbecue grills. The hotel also includes a steam room. Guests also have access to a nearby fitness center for a fee. The hotel provides a business center and conference facilities, and high-speed Internet access is available in public areas, also for a fee. The nonsmoking hotel also provides secure complimentary parking, dry cleaning service and laundry facilities. Pets are not permitted in the hotel.
Guestrooms. The 14-story hotel includes 104 apartment. Furnished balconies provide views of the Maroochy River, the beach or Mount Coolum. Apartments include complete kitchens with European appliances, double sinks and dishwashers. Second bathrooms and washers and dryers also are included. Apartments also offer high-speed internet access for a fee, CD and DVD players, video games and flat-panel televisions with cable service. Bathrooms offer jetted bathtubs and separate showers.
Expert Tip. Underwater World features more than 5,000 aquatic specimens, including sharks, rays, eels, jellyfish, octopi and brightly-colored reef fish. Displays also include crocodiles and barramundi, and a touch tank allows young visitors to experience sea urchins and star fish up close. Visitors also may choose to take a behind-the-scenes tour and a brief swim with the seals, for an additional fee. Admission tickets are valid for the entire day, allowing visitors to leave and return to see presentations given throughout the day.
