Good hotel in good location

My wife and I stayed one night at the Citigate King George Square one night before we returned home from a seven-night holiday in southeast Queensland. The hotel is in excellent condition; recently refurbished, I presume. Our room was small, but tidy and comfortable. The location is great for business travelers or those like us looking for a one-night stop-over before departing for points beyond the city. The hotel is within walking distance to Brisbane city hall, a large train station, and the Queen Street Mall, which has plenty of shops and restaurants to check out.

Great Location, Great Hotel

This hotel was a great value for the price. We arrived on a 6 am flight to the Brisbane airport and they allowed us to check in early, which was very much appreciated after an overnight international flight. The staff was kind and curtios. The hotel location was also terrific - 10 minute walk to the Botanical Gardens and ferries, and a 5 minute walk to Central Station where you can catch a train anywhere.

Needs Improvement

Satisfactory for the price we paid, but doesn't live up to its star-rating. The best thing about the hotel is its location--perfect for tourists.
