Trip Type: Romance Review 16 of 93Pretty Good
We stayed here for three nights while visiting friends in the area. We picked it because it was close to where they lived and more reasonably priced for the area. It was convenient to get everywhere from. The room was nice although it obviously hadn't been renovated in a while. It was clean and comfortable though. My only real complaints were that we couldn't get the jetted tub to work, and they left us a bill at the end claiming we had used one of their $4 bottles of water. However, when we checked out, I told them we hadn't touched it, and they took it off the bill with no trouble.

Overall, the hotel was reasonally clean, easy to find, with a great, great, great location. I found parking to be easy and convenient w/ use of valet service. The only negative comment I have is that the lobby and overall "fragrance" of the hotel is kind of like my grandmother's apartment. Not offensive, but just not a "fresh" sent you might expect in a hotel. Even an old one. But especially a "Coast" hotel. A really deep clean might be in order to get hard to see-reach corner dust, etc. that might contribute to that fragrance. I will stay again. The price and location was great for a suite room! Internet access was also easy.

Trip Type: Business Review 19 of 93only dissappointment
have been a Roosevelt regular for over 20 years and for the first time found the quality of food not up to par. Have never expected much from the breakfast but have enjoyed room service or the lounge for lunches and dinner. Not so much this time. Service from room service and in the lounge was excellent and there is a small, but very nice wine list.

Paid what we considered a great rate for a downtown hotel and were pleasantly surprised to be given a suite. Happy hour at connected restaurant outstanding ambiance/value.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 22 of 93Neat hotel
The Roosevelt is an old hotel with character. It may not be fancy or updated but it is in a great location. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were extremely helpful and incredibly polite and friendly. I do think it was overpriced.

Elevators didn't work. Staff wasn't well informed. Stairs weren't clear as to the exit. No full length mirror afnd took several tries to get someone on the phone.

This was a nice hotel in an excellent location with a price much better than those in the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: close to shopping and restaurants,5-8 minute walk to Pike Place Market and museums, nice rooms, computer with free internet access in lobby, very knowledgeable/helpful staff, rental cars available around the corner if you want to take a day trip. Cons: breakfast not included but restaurant next door (not very good!), lower floor rooms are not very private.

Trip Type: Romance Review 29 of 93Exactly what you'd expect
Older hotel, but right in the middle of everything. 6 blocks from Pikes, in the middle of many malls. We walked everywhere. Slight scratches on the car after using Valet parking (mild scratches on the bumper but buffed out just fine). Hotel had two elevators which caused some brief slowdowns as we were on 8th floor, but all in all we'll stay again.

The Roosevelt is in the heart of downtown Seattle's shopping district. We did not need our vehicle once it was parked as we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see/do. The room was nice but the matress was a little to soft for my liking. The staff was friendly and professional.
