even though the hotel was under construction that they said was the pool the was construction all over outside. No valet parking was absolutley ridiculous when all other hotels had. You park your own car 4 block away. Other than that the room was clean but laid out wrong and the colors didnt match but it was new. Just ok. A last resort

No parking. There was a sporting event and we were told if we moved our car we would not be able to get back into the parking deck till the next day. Construction outside our window at 6:30 A.M. on a Sat. Only real positive was the restuarant.

Room was great but you could really hear you neighbors talking through the walls and the adjoining room door.

Hotel location was OK. No parking for the hotel. We were told if we moved our car it would be the next day before we could park in the garage again. View out our window was a condominium being built. We got awakened at 6:30 AM on a Sat. by construction on the building next door. Elevators were slow and very small. Room was small and divided by television. Toilet paper holder falling of the wall. Then the last morning we heard the people next door's conversation. It was a normal volume and it sounded like they were in the room with us. Sidewalk in front of hotel was blocked off for construction. Only good was the restuarant. The service there was wonderful and food great. We do not recommend this hotel at all!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 91NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
THIS WAS 2ND TIME WE'VE STAYED THERE, BUT THE LAST. PEOPLE ARE GREAT AND VERY FRIENDLY, HOWEVER PARKING IS A PROBLEM. OFFSITE GARAGE THAT CHARGES. COFFEE POT BROKEN, CLOCK DIDN'T WORK, TV DIDN'T WORK. WAS DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME. IT IS VERY CONVENIENT TO FOOTBALL STADIUM, GAMBLING OR BASEBALL.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 91Good location
While the hotel is conveniently located, there is major construction feet away. Noisy at times (including Saturday) and pool is closed because of construction. Housekeeping was lacking and left a note for me to contact them for towels leaving none in the room. After maid service tub was not cleaned and dirty face clothes were left in tub corner. Staff was very friendly.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 91OK, but not for everyone
This hotel has some charm, but some might see it as run down. I actually liked its old-fashionedness, and my room was clean and comfortable. Parking is an issue, as you have to use the garage down the block for $16/day, with very limited space to park while unloading luggage. About half the channels were on the fritz on my TV, and there was no waste can in the room at all. The room was small and bizarrely set up, with a huge TV armoire in the middle, instead of against the wall. I stayed one night while on business, but it's probably not for family travelers. Location is very convenient.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 91inattentive service, but nice otherwise.
Beautiful old building downtown. Great location. Very comfortable bed and well-equipped room (brand new LCD TV, for example). Just a few blocks from the Arch and the rest of downtown -- but be warned, like a lot of downtowns, St Louis is nearly abandoned at night. Bad points: my "window" looked into the hollow construction site of a building next door with no sunlight whatsoever, and both times I interacted with the front desk, they were on the phone, seemingly on personal calls. I checked in and checked out through hand signals.

The room was nice and the bed was really comfortable, however, the room was extremely small. It would be very cramped with more than 2 people.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 15 of 91Good Value
This was a nice older hotel. The room was comfortable, yet still a bit dated, for being recently renovated. It's in a good location, but need to park across the street in garage. It's a good value for what your going to pay. Just don't expect perfection, and you'll be fine.
