Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 16Parking is too expensive.
I do not know the avarage overnight parking rate in San Francisco; however, $70 per night for parking at Ritz seems too pricy.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 16Terrible service
I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I have never in my life been treated so rudely by a valet. I would have left for the Mayfair right away but we were only there for 2 nights so we thought we would just get it over with. The hotel was nicely decorated but the beds were not very comfortable. We are staying at a Marriot now and suprisingly the service is 100 times better for half the price. Avoid this hotel, the service is a joke.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 16Great experience
The location is great, you are a few blocks from Union Square and Chinatown. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay... from the beautiful lounge to the relaxing jacuzzi and steam room... not to mention, the bed was luxurious. Don't forget to request your complimentary glass of champagne, if you arrive on a Fri. or Sat. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 16Great hotel
The rooms were great, and the service was good (although a tad impersonal - I expected slightly more). The location is excellent for Union Square

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 16Overpriced; no views--what a shame
From the moment I checked in and was handed the $70 tab for parking for 1 night I felt that this hotel was taking full advantage of its guests, almost like hostages. I made the mistake of asking the concierge for a restaurant reservation and was sent to an empty restaurant that "loved the Ritz-Carlton" thanks to most needed referrals---why wasn't I sent to a high quality popular restaurant? Our room was dated with a small tub/shower combo and no views--what a shame when in SF given the architecture and views...I sense this hotel will really suffer in this downturn. I plan to stay at the most reliable, attractive and comfortable Mandarin on my next stay. I don't think I will be charged $70/night to park, and expect that I will see something beautiful outside my window. Also, I expect the rooms won't be as dated as at the Ritz Carlton.
