Location. The Peninsula Chicago hotel is located in Chicago, Ill., on Magnificent Mile, the Michigan Avenue shopping district. The hotel is one-quarter mile from the Museum of Contemporary Art and the John Hancock Observatory. One-half mile away is Lake Michigan. Millennium Park and Navy Pier are less than one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. At Avenues, chef Curtis Duffey prepares four-, eight- or 15-course dinners Tuesday through Saturday. The Shanghai Terrace features Cantonese and Shanghai dishes in a 1930's supper club atmosphere. The Lobby, located on the fifth floor, offers breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners. On Friday and Saturday evenings, The Lobby offers Chocolate at the Pen, a chocolate buffet. The Pierrot Gourmet is a café and wine bar.
