Trip Type: Business Review 16 of 121Outstanding
The General Manager takes an active approach to managing. The room was great. The staff was helpful and most attentive. They also demonstrated an excellent knowledge of the city and surrounding area. Unlike Mr. Marriott's many properties in the city, they did not immediately assume that you were compelled to spend $500 or so for dinner. They simply directed you to the best white tablecloth restaurants in the city with excellent wine lists at reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Trip Type: Business Review 17 of 121Peery Hotel, Downtown Salt Lake City, UT
Great hotel and location! I'll stay there next time. It is the only hotel in Utah on the Historical Architectural Register. The price was $30-50 less per night than the "official conference" hotels for the meeting I was attending. Super services and a great location. Walk to the Salt Lake City Convention Center. Being a historical facility, the rooms are small, but comfortable. The rooms are not for "lounging" but are well appointed. I'll stay there again!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 18 of 121Great historic hotel
Great room for the money. I loved the fact that the room and hotel had character. My husband and I like historic hotels and this one exceeded our expectations. The bathroom was extremely small, but it worked. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: Business Review 22 of 121Very Small Rooms and you have to PAY to park
The room we were in was so small the door hit the bed. The sink was in the bedroom because it would not fit in the bathroom. If you like your knees to hit the tub when you are sitting on the pot this is the place for you. The room was noisy with the sound of something running like a large motor underneath us. We must have been put above the boiler room because the walls also vibrated. The bed was the only good thing about this place. The staff was not exceptionally friendly. And to top it all off we had to PAY FOR PARKING. We paid twice as much to park than it said on the sign going in to park.

Trip Type: Romance Review 23 of 121Beautiful Hotel
The Peery Hotel is a charming historic hotel in a great location. The room was a little small, but the bed was huge and very comfortable. The decor was beautiful, and we loved the historic feel.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 24 of 121Insanely small rooms
I booked a king size bed/room for myself and my teenage daughter for one night. We were given a queen bed instead and then told there were no rooms available though I barely saw anyone else on our floor. There was no room for a suitcase except in the small hall which would have blocked the door, the noise from the fan was deafening and kept us awake all night. If we turned it off we couldn't breathe. The large windows are painted shut. The bathroom is equally hard to manuver in. One reaches under the skin to get to the TP. Tiny. When I tried to talk to them I got no help. Parking is expenive in their "self park" lot, though convenient.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 25 of 121Good room for the money
We booked the room for a weekend getaway. The location of the hotel was within walking distance of a lot of downtown attractions. The room was small as was the bathroom and shower but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was great. Our TV was not working and within 10 minutes they had replaced the TV in the room. For the price we paid for the room it was a nice place to stay. We highly recommend the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 26 of 121A wonderful getaway
What a wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room’s furnishings were comparable with the Hotel Monaco. The only negatives, our room only had a shower, and the hotel does not have any parking. All in all, I'd gladly stay there again.

We just wanted to get away, The Peery hotel was perfect. Relaxing rooms and there was a lot of things to do that was close by.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel except the heater did not work very well. Fortunately it was not very cold outside. The people there were very helpful. Would definately stay there again.

My wife and I chose the Peery as a local getaway. It is close to great food, shopping, and almost anything else you want to do downtown salt lake. The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the hotel and our quick getaway.
