Trip Type: Family Review 16 of 346The Royal Treatment
My daughter and I loved the royal treatment you recieve. Everything was the finest quality and the rooms are beautifully appointed. We used the gym and spa everyday. The location is the best in town with easy access to the whole city. I hope to go back again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 19 of 346Excellent Hotel
Great location and the free bed turn-down service was a nice touch. The cash bar prices for items in the room could be more reasonable. All in all this was a great hotel and we will stay there again.

OUtstanding hotel, decided to pay $30/night extra to move to higher floor with a better view. Had a wonderful view looking down on St. Patrick's Cathedral. They had a lovely courtyard to enjoy an nice fitness/spa.

The only thing that I had an issue with was seeing an middle eastern news show on tv in the exercize room. It bothered me that it wasnt dubbed.

The Palace is the best 4 start hotel in NY. The people are great, the rooms quite nice, and the lobby quintessential new york.

Trip Type: Romance Review 25 of 346Outstanding Hotel
I wanted to treat my GF to a nice trip to New York and came across this hotel. I had never heard of it before but the details on this website and the proximity to the 5th Ave. shops were enough for me to book a room. The hotel staff was helpful and kind. We were blown away by the quality of the room we stayed in. King size bed with very comfortable pillows, a nice view of the city, a plasma TV, and a big bathroom. The room was bigger than I had imagined for a hotel in the city. The hotel is a block away from the 5th ave shops and it is only a 10-15 minute walk to times square. Please make sure to make good use of the concierge desk! They were very helpful and had quick answers to the questions I had. I considered the price of the hotel to be moderate, not at the top of my price range, but I was very happy I spent the extra money on this hotel. It was worth every cent! I highly recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 28 of 346Good Hotel Poor service
When we arrived with baggage there was no one to assist us with our baggage. However when we struggled our way into the lobby the doorman busy busy engaginging a very attractive young woman in a very short skirt in conversation. after checking in we decided to go out for dinner the doorman outside was too busy shooting the breeze with a truck drive and we had to get our own taxi. The next day we went out early and left the light on for the room to be made up and when we returned at about 2pm the room had still not been made up. we finally called and then had to again go out while they did this.

This was a great hotel within walking distance of Times Square. Its right on Madison Ave were all the high end shops are and subway stations are just a block away. The walk to central park is not that bad either (15min max). My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights using our welcome rewards points so the stay was a bit sweeter. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. If you're going for a night out in the town, the staff will get a cab for you right outside the hotel. But if you can, try to walk instead of taking to many cabs, it can get expensive (although if your girl has on high heels, INVEST IN THE CAB!!!) Definetly would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Trip Type: Romance Review 30 of 346Great value, great location, great service, great hotel
Stayed at the Trump Hotel a couple years ago and it was great but this hotel was less expensive and was equal in service, rooms and overall satisfaction. The location is perfect, heart of the midtown shopping, short walk to the theaters district, 42nd street and Central Park.
