Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 12Outstanding hotel
The room was a suite, nicely decorated, if a bit awkward in layout (odd, narrow foyer, but the bedroom, living room, and kitchen were fine). The hotel had a workout center, nicely landscaped smallish pool, and a restaurant (a little pricey). It was very close to Coconut Walk, with many shops and restaurants within five minutes' walk or so. We were ten minutes drive from U. Miami, and perhaps 30 minutes from South Beach, and downtown Miami. The service was good, though there was only valet parking. This boosed the cost quite a bit ($16-21/day). Over all, we felt it was worth the money, comfortable and in an excellent location.

The hotels furnishing are a little out dated and the air conditioner compress is in the closet and can be a little noisy. I closed the door it didn't bother me but it bother someone sleeping on the pull out sofa. I like the balcony and the view of the bay. It's walking distance to shopping and local bars but it's far enough away for a quiet evening.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Mutiny. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer. We were greeted with outstanding valet parking attendants and a very friendly concierge staff. The entire staff was very friendly and most accommodating. Not to mention the immaculate and tastefully decorated rooms. The bedding was first class and oh so comfortable. We cannot complement Jesus, Cesar, and Sam the lounge and dining staff enough!! The food was incredible! We were served in a very friendly and professional manner. We highly recommend The Mutiny and will definitely be returning!!

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 12Not Worth The Money
The furniture was somewhat outdated but the sleeper sofa cushions were worn, dirty, and stained. I called to complain and someone who I couldn't communicate came up to make the bed. This was not the solution I was looking for. We were on the 3rd floor above the pool so the pool music starting playing around 6 am keeping me up. Not good. Plus my safe didn't work. (Security came and said it was "broke".) Hotel water fountains didn't work. For what I paid this was not worth the headaches.

Spacious and smartly decorated. Lovely pool area and lobby. Great having a full kitchen. Very happening shopping right around the corner.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 12Needs Improvement
Our family of four stayed in a one bedroom junior suite for a weekend wedding. My daughters slept in the hide-a-bed the first night. There were no pillows or blanket for them and the mattress springs could be felt all over the mattress. The second night my husband took the cushions off the couch and made a bed on the floor! Although the hotel knew there were four of us, we only had 3 bath towels. The hangar in the closet had a tag for a robe which we could wear and purchase, but there was no robe until we requested one and received the next day. The phone in our room initially didn't work. The carpet was in terrible condition. The room was not cleaned/bed(s) made until late afternoon when we were already back to get ready for the wedding. The place really was too small for four people.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 12The Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove,FL needs improvement
I have stayed there before and this time my experience was not good. I assumed, based on previous stays, that all rooms came with washer/dryer. This time I was told that I had to ask for them at reservation . The refrigerator in one of my rooms (I changed four times b/c of problems in each room. Finally they upgraded me to a 1-bedroom suite.)my was caked with ice and a handyman had to chisel the ice out. If you pay for a junior sute with a kitchen, the kitchen cabinets are so high up that they are unusable. Kitchens in junior suites are poorly equiped. As each unit is individually owned, units vary widely.Beds may be soft, closets occupied and locked, and dressers for folded clothes missing. During my stay, a pocketbook and pants were stolen from my room. The hotel said that they were seeking approval to reimburse me.

The hotel was nice but the mattress was horrible. I rolled to the middle all night. The bedspread/comforter was dirty. There was no hot water at the bathroom sink. I could only wash my face with cold water. There was limited seating in the living room. No more than two people could sit there. I had to go to the hotel front desk to get someone to help me in the restaraunt. Food was good though.
