    This place was amazing.....unfortunately hurricane ida had just passed through and it was really cold out but the 3 indoor hot tubs,heated lazy river and heated pool and kids area kept the whole family happy.This was one of the nicest places our family has ever stayed and at this price we will keep coming back and bring friends and family with us

    We spent a 4 day weekend- just wanted to get away and relax. We got way more than we expected. The building and grounds were immaculately clean, the service was spot-on, and the location was great. The only things we wished were different - cable TV was basic and without a guide, although the set and signal were fine. Also, the place was a bit noisy. Really not much to complain about considering how little we paid for the weekend! Martin's Restaurant had a good breakfast buffet - really worth it, except for the coffee, which was an additional $3 and not that good. After the first day, I got my coffee at the Starbucks on site which was awesome- service and cleanliness at both the restaurant and the Starbucks were great. We aren't golfers, but the resort was full of them, and they all seemed to be having a great time.

Location. Located beachfront in the north end of Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Long Bay Resort is less than five miles from family attractions including Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede, the Children's Museum of South Carolina and NASCAR SpeedPark. Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing, each offering shops, dining and entertainment, are within five miles. Myrtle Beach International Airport is five miles south of the hotel.

Features. The Long Bay Resort features indoor and outdoor seating at the Oceanview Café & Bar. Martin's restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and a la carte lunch and dinner menus. In addition to the resort's direct beach access, the hotel offers an outdoor water complex with two pools, 250-foot lazy river, an indoor/outdoor pool, a children's pool and three spa tubs. The indoor/outdoor patio displays oversized chess and checkerboards. A fifth-floor sundeck is furnished with lounge chairs and features ocean views. Complimentary supervised children's activities, which include various arts and crafts activities and a weekly pizza night, are offered in the summer for a fee. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. All units offer cable television and private balconies. Standard rooms and efficiencies offer mini fridges, microwave ovens and coffeemakers, with efficiencies also offering stovetops and ovens. Suites have galley kitchens, and condos and apartments are equipped with full kitchens. Both feature bathrooms with separate vanities and medicine cabinets.

Hotel Expert's Tip. The on-site Starbucks coffee shop sits on the hotel's garden patio and offers complimentary wireless Internet access.
