Trip Type: With Friends Review 16 of 34Good Except the Bug...
Stayed here for 2 nights. Very nice hotel, everyone was nice. However, on the morning of my checkout I found a giant bug in the soap dish in the shower. I didn't check to see what it was, but it freaked me out. I don't think it was a cockroach, it was pretty big. Granted it wasn't like the room was infested, but the hotel is kind of out in the hills so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised...

Trip Type: Romance Review 18 of 34Perfect Romantic Getaway
This was a perfect, charming, cozy, one-of-a-kind place for a romantic getaway. Everything about it was more than we had hoped for. We stayed in an adorable little individual cottage on a pretty, cobble-stone paved street. The room was spacious, very comfortable, and very nicely furnished and decorated in a warm, natural, not-at-all stuffy way. The staff was excellent and really went out of our way to give us everything we wanted. The town was very nice, neat, and quiet, with a pretty, Spanish rancho feeling. The location was great for our needs, close enough to San Diego to get Downtown within 30 minutes for dinner and nightlife, but far enough to have a completely relaxing place to come back to at night to unwind. The only drawbacks were that the town's winding streets were a bit confusing to navigate, and finding the main office for the first time was tricky (head for the restaurant and you'll be close). But overall this was a small price to pay for all of its charms. It wasn't cheap, but for the same price I've stayed at several other hotels that aren't nearly as charming, comfortable, or well-maintained and staffed. We will definitely return next time we're in the San Diego area.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 19 of 34A wonderful romantig getaway :)
Although not too close to San Diego business locations, this charmer was great and very much exceeded all expectations: a fireplace in the room, a huge bed, a bathtub with lion legs, etc. etc. Breakfast was wonderful and the stuff very helpful and courteous. I would come again and recommend it to all my friends!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 20 of 34The Inn
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is an elegant hotel, that is beautifully landscaped and has a most charming layout. My family had a total of four rooms, all adjoining, with back patios. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amenities. One of us had a fireplace and because of the chilly night we were assisted in starting the fire. That was very enjoyable. The next morning we had breakfast in the dining room and the service was superb and the food delicious. I have stayed here once before and would do so again. I highly recomment the Inn.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 22 of 34Spent our wedding night here
We arrived a little later than expected and were completely exhausted. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. They walked our bags to our room and when he opened the door, we were awestruck! The room was gorgeous. The bed is probably the most comfortable bed ever. Well worth the stay and we plan on returning on our 1 year anniversary if not sooner!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 23 of 34Nice and quiet getaway hotel
Beautiful hotel and well maintained. The grounds were full of beautiful flowers. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. I only have (2) criticisms: The fan in the room had a loose cover, which exposed wires in the ceiling -and- unless I missed it, there are not any signs advising drivers where to park and check in (i.e- the location of the front desk). Overall, we had a great and relaxing stay. As Arnold would say, "I'll be back!"
