Trip Type: Not Provided Review 16 of 206great choice for a london visit
it was a wonderful location, they were helpful in finding restaurants and booking plans if that's what you needed. the room was lovely with comfortable bed and nicely renovated details; high ceilings. free wireless throughout the hotel and that was awesome! even had a computer in a sitting area on our floor. we would definately stay there again.

Trip Type: Business Review 18 of 206Good traveler hotel but the resturant isn't very good
The hotel is a very good hotel for someone looking for a good location and no extras. The connecting resturant on the other hand is awful.

Small but comfortable room, great location, mediocre restaurants nearby, Chine Town is only 3 blocks away, good cheap food.

Made our reservation months ago and when we checked in all they had was a handicap room with no bathtub.

Located with in walking distance to most sights. Good fitness center. The shuttle to the airport was very convenient.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 22 of 206Great Location; Good Service
Fantastic location - a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square, convenient to two Underground stations (Embankment and Charing Cross); near to West End theatres; Room amenities were in good condition. Rooms facing Northumberland might be noisy, but I had a room in the back which was very quiet. Hotel service was good and helpful. There is a small Italian eatery (mozzarella bar) connected to the hotel, serving a fine breakfast and a superb pasta dish for dinner. Well worth the value.

A relatively new hotel which has got it "just right". My trips are always short and expectations that everything should work are high. Good job! Keep it going!

Trip Type: Family Review 25 of 206Great Location
Trafalgar Grand has a wonderful location so close to sights that often no transportation is needed. Across the street from the Sherlock Holmes Pub and down the street from a Tesco Express also. Computer access in lounge proved useful. We were very happy with our stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 26 of 206Great location, excellent for the price
Very surprised at how nice the hotel was for the price. It is set up for business travelers but worked just fine for me, too. Loved the free internet access at the second floor lobby...used it to check email and print my boarding pass. There is a decent fitness room to use in case you don't get enough exercise walking around town all day. You can see Trafalgar Square from the front of the hotel and it is about halfway between Charing Cross and Embankment tube stations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a central hotel in London. Can't comment on the service because I used self check-in/check-out and didn't use room service (only stayed one night).

Trip Type: Business Review 27 of 206Quite please
I stayed three nights. I was disappointed I had to change rooms for the last night because someone had reserved my room. I found it strange that the hotel did not have a lobby relaxation area. Otherwise, i was very pleased.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 28 of 206a dump
We had requested a suite and paid more than we usually do to obtain a beautiful hotel room--we recieved a gross room with barely enough room for the icky pull out couch. If you are used to traveling first class this is not the hotel for you.

Trip Type: Family Review 29 of 206Great location!
The location of the Grand is very convenient -- close to Tube stations, very close to Trafalgar Square and Picadilly Circus, and also within walking distance of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Parliament, etc. Can't imagine a better London location. Restaurants are also quite close, with two American diner style restaurants that were good within a block, and a bunch of restaurants nearby in Picadilly Circus. As other people indicated when we were choosing our London hotel, The Grand is a "no-frills" business hotel. The automatic check-in didn't work for us, and the line to do a "regular" check-in at the desk was slow. Extra toiletries are in a closet down the hall from the room and you help yourself. The purified water station on each floor was great, and the lounge area was huge, with comfy sofas/chairs, and internet available. (We brought our laptop, so just used it in our room -- very convenient!) The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable and the room was large. For some reason we were put in a handicap accessible room with low door handle, a contraption in the shower, etc., but it didn't bother us. Our room was somewhat noisy, since we were on street side, but I wear earplugs anyway, so it wasn't a problem! Hotel itself was quiet -- hardly ever saw any other guest or staff, seemed like we were all by ourselves. No breakfast if that's important to you. I would most definitely stay here again!!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 30 of 206Good Hotel for the Cost
We stayed for three nights and were very happy with the room, especially when you compare the costs of other hotels in the same location. The room was clean, the bathroom was modern and clean and the staff was very helpful. Would stay again.
