    This hotel was perfect. The rooms were beautiful designed. Everything from the garden to the bedroom was filled with wonderful colors. The bed was cozy. The breakfast was delicious. It was a great stay and would be highly recommended. Did I mention that the inn keeper was fabulous. He was friendly and even provided directions around town. They have everything there and ready for you. They even have on site parking.

The Fairlawn Inn in Hunter, N.Y., rests at the base of Hunter Mountain, a four-season resort featuring skiing, hiking, fly-fishing, mountain biking and golf. Downtown Hunter, within one-half mile from the inn, offers a two-screen movie theater, performing arts center, organic produce market, bookstore, several restaurants, and craft and fine art galleries.

This restored Victorian inn, built in 1904, is decorated with art collections, martini glasses, crystals, antiques and crystal balls. The house features four common sitting areas, a parlor with a fireplace and three large porches. A refrigerator stocked with beverages, snack basket and cookie jar are complimentary 24 hours a day. The inn's complimentary cooked-to-order breakfasts include fresh-baked items, fresh fruit, juice, bacon, sausage, an assortment of egg dishes, pancakes, French toast and omelets. A meeting room is available, and wireless Internet access is complimentary.

The air-conditioned guestrooms at The Fairlawn Inn offer cable television and views of the garden or mountains. All of the rooms feature private bathrooms, some with original oversized claw-foot tubs, bubble bath and bath salts.
