    The staff could not be more helpful. They definitely treat their guests as top priority. We paid for a regular room and was promised an upgrade to a suite upon check-in and we received what was promised without even asking for it. We will certainly stay there the next time we visit Boston.

Location. The Eliot Suite Hotel - Boston is a brownstone mansion located in Boston, Mass. The hotel is one block from the shops and restaurants of Newbury Street, the Prudential Center and Copley Place. A Red Line subway station is two blocks away.

Hotel Features. Built in 1925, the hotel features a brick façade on tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue. Valet parking, a doorman and bellhops are provided. The lobby features white marble walls accented with emerald trimmings and Persian rugs. Clio, the hotel's Parisian-style restaurant, serves entrees including organic chicken, Maine lobster and California squab stuffed with foie gras. Uni, the adjoining sashimi bar, serves Japanese cuisine featuring Kobe beef, tempura and sushi. The hotel's concierge is available to assist guests with arrangements from dinner reservations to Red Sox tickets or tours of Boston's Freedom Trail. Past the mirrors, brass banisters and glass chandelier of the lobby, a pair of ornate brass elevators carries guests to their accommodations.

Guestrooms. The hotel's 79 guestrooms are decorated with dark-wood furnishings and French doors separate living and sleeping areas. Wireless Internet access is available. Rooms include CD players with MP3 capability and satellite television. Stocked minibars are included in all rooms, and microwave ovens and refrigerators are available upon request. Guest baths feature Italian marble countertops and bathrobes and complimentary Damana toiletries are included. Complimentary newspapers are delivered on weekdays. The hotel provides complimentary cookies in each guestroom upon arrival.

Expert Tip. For lovers of Japanese culture, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, is one block from the hotel on Huntington Square at Copley Square. The museum displays the largest collection of Japanese art outside Japan.
