We chose this hotel for a four-day "long weekend." We decided to forego a rental car, and did not regret the decision. Pike's Market and the surrounding shopping area are an easy walk. We stayed on the Puget Sound side of the building, which provides spectacular views, including two Celebrity cruise ships that called at Seattle during our stay. The gas fireplace was a welcome touch, as was the breeze off of the Sound. Do it: You won't regret it!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 20 of 221There are better hotels
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Edgewater. I had heard wonderful things about the hotel. It was very noisy, I could hear everything in the hall way as well as the heater in the next room. The train went by quite often all night long and woke me. There was not a bathtub in my room, the sink is a vessel sink, so it is pretty yet somewhat problematic to use.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 21 of 221Perfect location
Perfect location. Loved the hotel overall. The day I arrived, they had plumbing issues and were moving guests to other hotels. Also shuttle driver called in sick, so the free inter-city hotel was not run. Staff could have been more apologetic about these issues, but the room/location was excellent.

Trip Type: Romance Review 23 of 221Great local, but . . .
If you want to stay at an "in" place this would be it. The city and harbour tour guides all reference The Edgewater on their tours and the location really can't be beat. But be prepared - the rooms are small and the building is old. the very modern "bowl" sinks drain too slowly to be considered acceptable and if you're unlucky enough to get a water front from at the end near the dock better bring some walking shoes - you'll get a full work out just getting to the gift shop and back for the only access to morning coffee. Overall a B+

Trip Type: Romance Review 24 of 221Loved this hotel
Our room comfortable with a terrific floor plan and unbelievable view. Even had a view from the claw foot bathtub. was hanging over the water. Restaurants bars, shopping nearby - easy walking distance to Pike's Place Market. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice restaurant/bar in the hotel with good entertainment. Dark when we went to sleep and we woke in the middle of the first night with a bright light in the room - when I turned to look out the window, it was a beautiful full moon lighting up the sky and reflecting off the water. Wonderful stay, awesome place!

Trip Type: Romance Review 25 of 221Just One Thing...
We would definately go back to The Edgewater, the staff couldn't have been more accomodating, except for one thing...when reading the reviews prior to booking the room, a couple mentioned gratis upgrades to the water side of the hotel upon check-in. We were truly hoping that would be the case when we arrived. It was not offered, and during our 4 night stay I heard there were openings on the water side. The lobby with the two story windows on the water were marvelous!!!

Trip Type: Family Review 27 of 221Outstanding hotel - chic - dog friendly
This was the best vacation experience. The hotel is beautifully appointed, convenient to downtown Seattle (Pike's Place, etc.) and dog friendly. The Edgewater made the entire experience one to remember. There is no better feeling than to enjoy a relaxing vacation in a beautiful hotel and to have comfort in the fact that our dog was welcome there. I recommend this hotel to everyone travelling with a dog.

This hotel has everything. The decor everywhere is beautiful. The location to great seafood, Pikes Place Market and free bus transportation is great. The staff was helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful and imaginative.
