Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 770Good moderately priced hotel near the CO Convention Center
It is not the level of room of the Hyatt Regency across the street from the Convention Center, but my hotels.com price made it a great deal. The art deco decor is cool.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 2 of 770Fair hotel
We've stayed at the Curtis several time with always the same issues. The walls of the rooms are not noise insulated. You can hear conversations in the adjoining rooms. Impossible to sleep in the hotel after about 8 am as the hallways are noisy and the noise transfers into the room distinctly. Avoid any room near the ice dispenser. It sounds like an avalanche if you're next to it. Very good location but we'd much prefer other hotels which offer parking or breakfast.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 770Lacking small amenities
After we arrived, we called to the front desk to inquire about access to a freezer. I was told they could bring a refrigerator with a small freezer to the room for a charge of $15 a night. I needed it, so I told them that would work. After waiting 45 minutes and no freezer, i called down again to ask the status as i had to leave very soon. I was told by another employee that he would check into it and call back immediately. After another 15 minutes went by with no return phone call or freezer, I had to leave. When i got back to the room several hours later, there was still no refrigerator/freezer. I called down to the front desk again, told the attendant i still needed the freezer, however, i was not going to pay for it. She said she would have it sent up and, after only 5 minutes, it actually arrived. I was not charged. The room itself was ok. Nothing spectacular. There were no towel racks in the bathroom. No place to put a hand towel or hang a shower towel. I was going to get ice, so i looked for the ice bucket. THere were tongs and a lid for an ice bucket, but no ice bucket. There was a coffee pot and mugs, but no coffee. It wasn't anything disastrous, however, these are very small ammenities that are provided by "lower quality" hotels regularly.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 770Perfect location
right next to performing arts centre, walkable to Pepsi centre, right by the 16th street mall. Great staff! Only thing was the bar was outrageously expensive, especially for 'happy hour'.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 770Good, not great
Two weeks earlier I stayed at the Hotel Teatro; and like the Teatro, The Curtis is a historic property that was recently updated and they are half a block apart. By nearly every measure, The Curtis is a half-notch below the quality of Hotel Teatro. At The Curtis, the bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom sported a large stall shower, but I missed the rainforest shower-head in the Teatro. The desk was convenient and spacious, and the desk chair was an adjustable model—superior to the one at the Teatro. The TV was a relatively large flat screen, but the programming was mostly in standard definition in contrast to the digital Hi-Def available at Hotel Teatro. The Curtis offers both valet for $24 a night or self parking for about half that. However the valet service is spotty and sometimes slow. The Curtis did not have a shuttle service for the downtown area like the Teatro, a feature I missed. Each floor has a theme, and the elevators have comic voices which impressed me as silly and cheesy. The “themes” really added nothing to the stay or the ambiance of the hotel. Overall, hotel service was good, but not memorable. The restaurants and room service offerings were adequate but not great. All in all, for the money this hotel is nice and comfortable, but on my next trip I’ll pay an extra 10 or 20 bucks and stay at the Hotel Teatro.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 770Looks like a cute boutique, but it's basic bare-bones!
I was really disappointed with the Curtis, after all its kitschy web site had prepared me for! This is really just a bare-bones, basic budget hotel with annoying sound bites in the elevators. A Denver resident also informed me that the Curtis is used as overflow housing for a nearby college. So unless you want to stay in a dorm, stay elsewhere! Also, walls are paper-thin and there are no sound buffers under the doors, so you can hear everything happening in the hallways and rooms around you.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 770Great hotel
The bed was comfortable and that's 98% of it. Then the food downstairs in the Office restaurant was some of the best I've eaten. I'd go back there just for the food. I had the best Eggs Benedict. They have a shuttle service which is very helpful. Overall, I was very pleased with this trip in large part because of the hotel which is run by a bunch of imaginative folks. Thank you!

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 770Outstanding Hotel
The hotel and staff were excellent for the price. The only negative was no bathtub, just a shower, in our room. I would stay here again if I visit Denver.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 770Good Hotel, Good Location, Shower Could be Better
I had an excellent stay at The Curtis. It was a fun place. The staff answered all of my questions. Checking in and out was easy. My only issue was the shower pressure sucked, but I suppose that's a common problem everywhere.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 770Fun Hotel. Great Bathroom!!
The themed floors at the Curtis added some fun to our last night in Denver. The room was very nice, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom (my favorite part) was especially plush and big! Great location just two blocks from 16th Street. I'd definitely stay again!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 15 of 770Cool Contempary Hotel
I loved the room, 13th floor theme was a little disturbing. Not too found of photo in the room. Room is a little small, but well appointed. Bathroom has a small but great design. Hotel needs a hot tub and a Library or room to hang out in and work.
