The Breakers

Location. The Breakers is directly on the beach in Surfers Paradise, Australia, two kilometers from the Gold Coast Convention Center, Pacific Fair Shopping Center and Jupiters Casino.

Hotel Features. A small contemporary apartment hotel, The Breakers offers an outdoor pool and sun deck that face the ocean, a children's wading pool, a barbecue terrace, a picnic area, a landscaped garden and grassy areas. The hotel also offers dry cleaning service and complimentary secure parking. Numerous restaurants are nearby. Pets are not permitted in the hotel.

Guestrooms. The 12-story hotel's 37 apartments include varying décor and open plan living areas. All apartments include balconies or patios with ocean or hinterland views, washers and dryers and full kitchens with cookware, dishes, utensils and dishwashers. Apartments also offer DVD players, high-speed Internet access for a fee, cable television, telephones with voice mail and irons and ironing boards. The three-bedroom penthouse apartment, located on the 12th floor, includes separate bathrooms for each bedroom, a television room and two living rooms, each with its own beachfront balcony.

Expert Tip. Pacific Fair Shopping Center is a large retail complex in Broadbeach. The complex includes major chain stores, more than 260 specialty stores, a 12-screen theater, restaurants, bars and a children's theme park. Pacific Fair has both open-air and undercover sections, and is surrounded by landscaped pathways, parks and lakes.
