Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 331Horrible!!
I grew up in Myrtle Beach and always thought that The Breakers was supposed to be a nice place. Big misconception! The room was old and run down-smelled musty. The walls in the room were paper thin. I could hear everything from the room next door, the cars going by, people at the pool, etc. When I went to take a shower the water came out rusty at first. Then the water never got hot. I had warm water for maybe 5 minutes. The drain was stopped up, so the water NEVER drained. I took a shower Saturday morning & when I left Sunday the water was still there. I had to take a shower at a friend's house on the way to the airport. The food at the restaurant was terrible. The internet connection was limited to only websites that don't require a password. So that was pretty much useless.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 331Nice Location, but out dated.
Me and my wife were trying to get out of town for a night and from the website the hotel looked great but when we got there it wasn't so great. We were put in a resort view hotel room and we thought we were in one of those hotel rooms from a horror movie! So we asked for a oceanfront room and had to pay a little more for it. We got to that room and it was better but our view was looking through a palm tree to the ocean! Oh yeah, the walls are VERY thin and was up all night hearing people yelling! Overall, we will not be back.

they young man that checked us in was very friendly. He saw that my mother might not be able to walk up a flight of stairs so he graciously WITHOUT me asking moved us to another room that was great i will definately stay there again mostly due to his courtesy

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 331Great room, great view
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, and the view was wonderful! The only "complaint" is regarding parking/unloading/loading vehicle. Parking is across the street from the hotel, and the area for unloading/loading is not a big area and got crowded fast. Other than that, great hotel, good location, would recommend, would stay again!

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 331There IS parking across the street
Great hotel right on the beach. We were in the Boutique North Tower and the only problem we had was the desk clerk told us at check-in that we would have to park at the main resort 7 Blocks away (even drew a map). Actually parked down there and walked back only to find out from the new desk clerk we could actually park right across the street so walked back the 7 blocks to retrieve the car. Once the parking issue was taken care of had a great time and the room for the money paid was FANTASTIC!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 331Good room for the price
Great location and the staff was friendly. It was pretty clean. Some of the cons: The shower curtain smelled like mildew and the bathroom had a weird smell also. Our oceanfront balcony was tiny, but we had a nice view. We had a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee, sugar, creamer, etc. Parking was across the street and the parking garage had some tight squeezes, even for a compact car. Overall, I was satisfied for the price we paid.
