Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 99Made me look good...
We were in Chicago for my wife's birthday and had a great experience. The hotel staff was great with food recommendations and directions to their locations or summoning a taxi. Valet can be a bit pricey, but they were quick to point out a garage (that was much cheaper) about one block away if we wish to not pay for valet. The staff was always curteous and helpful. Our room was incredible with views of Grant Park and the city. The only draw back to our modern style room was the bathroom door was a slider and did not completely close off the bathroom area, which can make for some awkward bathroom moments. Other than that, the hotel and their staff were excellent!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 99Blackstone Hotel highly recommended but...
I had never stayed here before and picked the Blackstone for location and price. I was very pleased with all aspects. I recommend paying a little extra for a room overlooking the park and get one as high up as you can. Clean, new, great service from the valet all the way to the front desk. Very classy staff and decor. Great bed - perfect for a romantic getaway. Only one complaint and it sounds petty, but when I checked out it was a shock to pay $47 for one night of parking with the valet. $25 or even $30 is pretty common, but $47? So buyer beware on this "gotcha"

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 99Great hotel - but pricey
Great hotel. Nice room (view of the lightwell, but still a nice room). However, it was the most I have ever paid for a hotel room...anywhere.

Within walking distance of Millennium Park, The Chicago Art Institute, and Grant Park. We saw a concert at Millennium Park, the new wing at the Art Institute, dancing at Grant Park and fireworks from our hotel window on Venetian Night.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 99Beautiful Renovation of a Classic Chicago Hotel
The Blackstone was recently restored and is now one of the nicest 4+ star hotels in the City. It is conveniently located on S. Michigan Avenue away from the hustle and bustle (noisy traffic and congestion) of the N. Michigan Avenue Magnificent Mile. The rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable with all of the amenities that you want/expect in an upscale hotel. A highlight of our Blackstone experience was eating at the restaurant located in the hotel, Mercat a La Planxa (Spanish Tapas). It is one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Chicago. We'll definitely go back both to the hotel and the restaurant.

Quite possibly the best hotel experience I've had to date! The Decor and the view were amazing. Close to anything you could ever want to do in Chicago. Go ahead and spoil yourself next time you visit the windy city!

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 99Recently Renovated
I stayed at the Blackstone many years ago when it was an old "quaint-like" establishmenet. There was a lot to be desired at that time and I was glad to see the improvements and efforts to keep this landmark open. In a great area if you are in Chicago for the museums and the sights.
