Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 10Not too shabby
I enjoyed my stay at the b. It was very close to the subway, as well as all the clubs and anything u would really need. I stayed in the superior double, and i was satisfied with the bed, and size of the room. The staff was helpful and nice and i thought spoke English just fine. I didn't eat the breakfast because I was never awake at the times they served it, so I cant review it. But overall I was very happy with my stay, and would recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in Roppongi.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 101 night in Tokyo
We were in Tokyo for 1 night on a layover. It was easy to get to from Narita and the subway station. Roppongi was ok, not my favorite city in the world, but seemed representative of Tokyo.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 5 of 10Great Location!
Once you figure out that gate 5 from the Roppongi subway station takes you almost to the door, you'll love the area. You can walk to western restaurants, small super markets, and book stores. By night, the area bustles with lots of clubs, but the hotel windows and shades block light and noise. True, the carpets and chairs were a bit worn, but the beds were comfy, the linens immaculate, and the staff eager to please. No drawers, but extra hangers can be requested. Hand/body lotion the only amenity I missed. Internet rates way better than posted ones; good value!

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 10Good hotel, great value, convenient loc in party neighborhood.
Very pleased with value, convenience, and helpful staff. Hotel is steps from subway: both gray/Hibiya/H line, and red/Oedo/E line. Gray H Hibiya line goes direct to Ueno -- only 1 transfer to Narita airport. Rooms have a hot-pot and small fridge, but no microwave. Hotel has a small laundry room with coin washer and dryer, and free iron. Free (pretty good) coffee in lobby! Beer and softdrink vending machines. Breakfast available but our package didn't include it, so no info on that. Right at Roppongi crossing, which is a party place in the evenings: lots of provocative young hostesses out and about, and a few hawkers and flyer guys trying to tempt you into bars; older travellers may not care for the hurly burly. Completely safe, however, we had zero unpleasantness on the streets. Rooms on lower levels or overlooking bars may get noise from street; bring earplugs. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby for all your needs. Walking distance to Roppongi Hills, Midtown, Tokyo Tower. Small hotel, so no waiting on facilities or struggling through crowds in the lobby, etc., which I appreciated. Staff at hotel speak English, and were very pleasant and helpful with all my questions about restaurants, routes, etc. Good room cleaning with fresh towels daily! Our windows didn't open and I suspect AC is not as robust as western standards, so I don't know how comfortable rooms may be in hot summer months. Prepaid in full through hotels.com, which made me nervous, but it was good deal, trouble- free, reservation was waiting at check-in, got the no-smoking double I requested, no outstanding charges at check out, trouble-free transaction.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 10Very Satisfied
The b Roppongi is a stones throw away from Roppongi Station and a couple minute walk from Roppongi Hills. The people there were extremely courteous and they answered all of my questions in English. When checking in, they gave me two free continental breakfast coupons for each day of my stay. The breakfast was as good as you can expect (eggs, bacon, ham, soup, bread/toast, salad, orange juice, milk, water, coffee...). The only negative I have is the people on the sidewalk at night asking you if you would like a massage or to come to their club. This happens in most of the busy nightspots of Japan though. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Japan, I would recommend the b Roppongi.

My air conditioning did not work. When I asked for a fan, the staff told me to just open the window. I thought they would be more helpful or put me in another room. Will not go back!
