Great Value in Akasaka

This is everything the other reviewers have said and more. Clean, contemporary design. Helpful staff. The glassed bath was no problem. The room is compact but we were there for 10 days and it was also not a problem. The area is amazingly quiet but central. We had no problem accessing either Akasaka or Akasaka-mitsuke stations - easy. Two big plusses: an empty refrigerator you can fill yourself and the coin-op laundry room. Two caveats: thermostats have been disconnected and are centrally controlled by the hotel - 75% of guests just threw the windows open. Also, there's only a hangrod for clothes - an unnecessary design feature where a closet or other means could have provided more storage. One of the best secrets in Tokyo - will come back again.

Great value

Very clean and comfortable, with a friendly staff, though a somewhat inconvenient location.

Fantastic Hotel, Great Staff

I definitely enjoyed the hotel. Yes, there is a mini climb to get to it but if you're smart you will wonder around and find that there are a few routes to get to the hotel. The staff is wonderful. It was my first time to Tokyo and I definitely enjoyed it. Will absolutely take another trip there, this time with friends. I found a great deal on hotels. com for this hotel compared to other hotels. It is the right size for sleeping and the lobby has free terrific coffee and i'm not even a coffee drinker. Hope, you enjoy your trip while you're there!

Nice business-type hotel

This hotel was had a great bathroom and shower area. not big, but very clean and comfortable (no soak tub though). the staff was versed in english and provided outstanding directions to surrounding areas. the neighborhood is mostly business (therefore quiet at night). if you are looking to party after midnight, you will need to catch a taxi back (as the trains stop around midnight). there are convenience stores and fast food areas open 24hrs a day within walking distance. if the trains ran 24 hr/day, i would have stayed here the whole time in tokyo. only moved to be closer to the areas like shinjuku and shibuya.
