Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 422epitome of sevive
Since I am a regular at this property, I feel somewhat qualified to rewiew all areas of amenities provided.. The resounding trait is that service and the people who provide this in every facet is the best I have seen from all downtown hotels, period....... The hotel has an inate ability to make you feel very much at home while being professional in care...

I haven't experienced this level of hospitality in many, many years - from the front desk to the Bell Capt and Housekeeping.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 3 of 422usually better on other stays here
I have stayed at the Adolphus quite a few times before. This time I booked the deluxe room. They could not find my reservation, but quickly put me in a room. The room was only about 250 sq. feet. The room was so narrow that only a double size bed and one nightstand could fit. There were no occasional chairs! The service is wonderful as usual. I do think the parking fee was excessive. One lamp in my room was cracked and bent. The room was very well kept. I will stay there again, but only if they can assure me I will not be put in such a tiny room, or at least not to be charged the rate for a deluxe room when mine was much smaller. I emailed the hotel four days ago but have yet to receive a reply.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 422great hotel with nice size rooms and a great price!!!
A lot of old hotels have small rooms and old bathroom fixtures that are out of repair, but the Adolphus was just the opposite. Nice size rooms, great, partially update bathrooms and a shower that had water pressure that you only find at home!!!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 422Not worth the money
Beware: 24 dollar valet parking. Rooms have a huge gap between the door and the floor meaning that you hear EVERYTHING going on in the corridor. AC kept blowing right in our face during the night. Not very comfortable. No hot water for several minutes in the shower, meaning you have to plan ahead. Old hotel, supposedly very European style, but coming from Europe I must say that this hotel was a huge disappointment. Will NOT stay there again. Poor value!

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 422A nice hotel for the price
The hotel was nice, beautifully decorated and comfortable. The staff was all very nice. The hotel patrons (other than myself of course) seemed a bit stuffy, although that is not something I will fault the hotel for. The one complaint I have is the sound really carries, if someone is in the hallway talking, or entering/existing another room it is audible, and may wake up the lighter sleepers among us.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 422Wonderful
This is an outstanding hotel. Wonderful service, and great beds. It was my friends first trip to Texas, and she was SO impressed. She couldn't believe how friendly everyone was. I will be back to the Adolphus!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 422Needs Improvement
It was great room for the money. This was my third time stay and I did not like that I did not have easy access to my car. I'm still waiting to work out detail on damage to my car.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 422Great Staff and Location
We stayed 8 nights and loved it. The Bistro for breakfast and the informal dining at The Rodeo Bar was very good. The location is ideal for other eateries and bars as well and for visitng the famous 6th Floor Museum. The best part wa the staff- everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only slight change would be a week rate for the parking. It was a bit expensive on a daily rate.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 422Quiet, comfortable downtown room
Great room for the money in this historic landmark downtown hotel. Great location for visiting the renewed downtown area. Several good to excellent restaurants really nearby, pharmacy, corner stores along with budget eateries. Some museums and the West End district are within walking distance.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 15 of 422A Downtown Gem
I recently stayed at the Adolphus in downtown Dallas and consider it one of the best value when taking into account quality, cleanliness, staff, location and pedestrian friendly surrounding environment.
